Within the energy consciousness understanding, we create our experiences by how we focus the attention and awareness. We focus our attention and awareness through how and what we think and believe. What we think and believe is contained within our mind and the memories of the experiences we have had. Our current mind is what created the problem we face. It is not the mind which is going to solve our problem. It can’t. To solve our problem we have to somehow think, believe and/or perceive differently. The question, of course, is, “What in our mind must change to allow us to think, believe and/or perceive differently?”

It is in looking to answer this question that we can understand our desired solution is held captive in our mind. There is something in our mind that is directing the flow of our creative life energy into the experience we have and wish to change. There is nothing we need to seek outside us that is going to give us our solution. There may be internal things that causes us to reflect and change how and what we think and believe but it is our choice and desire to change what we think and believe that will allow our solution to come forth. We need to go into our mind and find those beliefs that are causing us to create the experiences we have.

Now, the issue we face is that we may not have anything to replace the belief we hold with something different. For example, we could desire to play the violin. The belief and truth is that we need two functional arms and hands to do so. If, for some reason, we have lost an arm and we are unable to get an artificial replacement for that hand and arm, to believe we cannot play the violin would be correct, There is no thinking or beliefs we could adopt that would allow us to play the violin. Hence there is no belief we could adopt that would allow us to play the violin.

However, our desired solution is still held captive in our mind. We need to “pull the string” and ask ourselves “Why do I think, feel or want to play the violin - what do I hope to achieve in having the experience of playing the violin?” If we explore the “Why?” behind what we desire to do, we can come to find there are deeper truths and beliefs. We can access these deeper truths and beliefs and find ways of creating experiences that gives us the equivalent of what we desire but obviously not in the way we first thought we needed to experience it.

Creation is infinitely vast as are the experiences we can create within Creation. All that keeps us bound is our own thinking and how and what we believe.
