Truth telling is about creating a ritual and/or a metatheater which allows for a safe exploration and literal and/or symbolic expression of our truth whatever it may be and however it needs to be expressed. Truth telling is something that usually needed to be bone more than once as we peal away the layers of beliefs we have about ourselves and the way Creation works. We may find ourselves seemingly spiraling around going over "old ground" again and again but only at a deeper more profound level of truth. The truth telling ritual allows us to acknowledge and claim our truth and whatever level we find ourselves.

It must be emphasized, we need to become intimate with ourselves, our creative spirit, our creative passion and our truth We need to move into truthfulness at each and every level of our being. We need to become clear what is our truth as opposed to what is programmed and enculturated

Truth telling discusses stated desires, confesses those thing known to obstruct or impede manifesting, asking for strength, discussing fears and reservations, addressing pains and all that we are feel lead to express in whatever way we need to express it. It is the opportunity to be totally honest and come clean with oneself in all ways on any topic.

We must be willing to stand naked in our truth in all ways. That is, we must be willing to stand in our truth without trying to defend or protect our truth as if we were to stand naked in the world with no clothes. We must be willing to learn to reveal our truth to the world whatever it looks like.

In talking about standing naked in the world, we need to realize how vulnerable the human being is. We wear shoes and clothes to help protect us from our environment. We cover ourselves from the cold and from the direct rays of the sun. Similarly the clothes protect us from becoming scratched and our skin otherwise irritated by what we brush against in our environment.

Similarly our creative spirit is very vulnerable. We find ways to go through life protecting ourselves so that our creative spirit does not become bruised, scratched or otherwise hurt. But, in trying to protect our creative spirit and not be free to express the nakedness of our truth in the world, we put our creative spirit and our creativity in a cage of our own making. This cage is unique to each of us and only we can get out of the cage by exploring our truth and being free to express it in whatever form and shape it takes.

Truth telling has two part. One part is to compile the issues that need to be presented, if not discussed, in truth. Here things we keep hidden or are afraid to face must be brought forth into the light of the world. A list of such topics need to be compiled and one should be prepared to present them all. However, all do not necessarily need to be presented. Something else will most probably occur. Compiling the list itself with the intent to express them before someone does much to free our creative life energy.

This bring us to the second part of the truth telling. During the truth telling, we need to allow our ourselves to move with the flow and talk as we are lead to talk about the truth that needs to be revealed. The idea of truth telling is to "become clean." It is to clear out all the hidden "junk" much the way one would clean out an the attic or a garage full of material that needs to be discarded. As we begin to work through the issues that have been compiled, we usually see some underling issues much deeper that we do not want to face. When the awareness of these things arises, we need to bring them forward. That will allow for a much faster and quicker way to becoming fully naked in our truth.

To access the depth and breadth of our truth, the truth telling should be conducted within the framework of a safe and secure space created within a traditional truth telling ceremony or ritual. It is to use something like a truth stick within a shamanic truth telling ceremony.

Whatever rituals or metatheaters that are done, they should: in some way express intimacy in, with, and about ourselves; coming clean; claiming and holding truth as in obtaining and holding some type and kind of symbol of truth; removing the veils we use to hide our truth; and the like. Whatever is done should be done in the realization our creative spirit is very vulnerable and needs a safe and secure space to express it truth. It is recommended the symbol of truth used in the ceremony be held when the individual discussed their desires, confess those things known to obstruct or impede manifesting, asking for strength and the like. The idea in holding the symbol of truth is that we hold truth and it is in our possession. The goal of the truth telling ritual is to provide the opportunity to be totally honest with ourselves in all ways on any topic.
