Although is underlying overall understanding of our creative power was written for application of rituals and metatheater in our creative endeavors, it provides a good overall summary of the concepts and principles behind the Releasing Your Unlimited Creativity understanding and its subsequent applications in the Releasing Your Unlimited Creativity applications and material

The understanding about our creative power for application of rituals and metatheater in our creative endeavors builds on the starting premise for the Releasing Your Unlimited Creativity understanding. The starting premise is All That Is, God, the Force, the substance or material of Creation, whatever we like to call it, is an energy consciousness that is. It creates reality through awakening to its own existence and intending. Whatever the consciousness of the energy consciousness intends, becomes creation/Creation. The energy of the energy consciousness molds itself to correspond to the intention consciousness holds. In this regard, there is a consciousness within, or behind, Creation which can be seen as a cosmic consciousness. Yet any one facet, aspect or piece of consciousness is never removed or separated from the consciousness within, or behind, Creation. As introduced in the topic, "Creation Story for the Creativity Perspective," any one aspect if consciousness creates the illusion of separation by how and what it thinks and believes to have the experience of creation/Creation.

The intention held by consciousness through which it creates and which gives rise to creation/Creation can be a thought, ideas concept, way of being and the like. Within each thought is enfolded the entire life cycle of that thought, whether it be a reality, a tree or a being in a creation/Creation. What exactly unfolds will be determined by the environment in which it unfolds and can be supported by the environment.

It can be said Creation as we know it is a thought of the All That Is. As discussed in the "Creation Story for the Creativity Perspective," the intention or thought behind Creation as we experience it is the desire for a playmate. Whether or not we personally accept this premise, if one looks carefully, they will find more truth in the premise that one would first imagine and gives rise to the believe that Creation was created out of love.

As presented in the "Creation Story for the Creativity Perspective," we each are a fragment or aspect of the consciousness within, or behind, Creation. Or, it and be said, we each are a thought of the All That Is and are one and the same substance of the All That Is. In any case, however we choose see it, being of the same substance of the All That Is, we are one with it and we similarly create with our thoughts. Whether we talk energy or consciousness, they are one and the same. Each thought has an energy and each energy has a consciousness, for they are one and the same. There is a seeming paradox here. No matter how "big" or how "small" the thought and what is enfolded in that thought, it is one with the All That Is - we cannot separate the thought from the All That Is. The challenge for the human mind is to understand how this is possible. How this is possible is the existence of what can be called our awareness and the existence of that of which we are aware and we experience as our awake consciousness and that of which we are no aware which we experience as our nonconscious.

Relative to the nature of that which gives rise to Creation, it needs to be stated, that no description, model, or construct will be adequate to explain to a less than fully aware "cosmic" consciousness the "way it works" Any and all attempts to explain how the universe works are a construct and all will reach a point of contradiction, paradox or failure to adequately explain the All That Is. The reason for this is simply a result of the finite nature of the mind of consciousness and how it only knows the past and continually projects the past onto what it does not know.

Based on the exploration of our inherent creativity and what is available in the scientific and spiritual/religious material there are only two things that can be said that seems to be immutable truths and, as they are stated here, may not be fully correct as stated.

The first is, "The All That Is, God, the Force, whatever we like to call It, is an energy consciousness that is. It creates reality through awakening to its own existence and intending. Whatever It intends becomes an enfolded and unfolding creation - the energy of energy consciousness molds itself to correspond to the intention consciousness holds." Beyond this quote, it appears to be an open playing field - that is, an unlimited universe for whatever we intend.

The words enfolded and unfolding are used in the sense that each thought is seed-like in its nature and will contain an entire structure, being or reality unfolds or reveals it self in a progressive order or a cause effect relationship that when viewed from a physical plane perspective can be seeming interpreted as time. It should be noted that an enfolded thought will look nothing like the structure, being or reality it creates in the same way a seed looks nothing like the tree it produces.

The second point is, as illustrated at the center of the Gentle Phoenix Yantra (symbol/loga) found at the top of the page on all the Releasing Your Unlimited Creativity web files is a circle that represents the unmanifested aspects of creation - the mysterious, magical and mystical of the unknown and unknowable. There is something "in the center," or "at the center," of all creations, no matter how big or how small a creation, out of which arises all creation. This center can be called the heart or the soul of that creation. As soon as we leave the center we are in a particular construct or view about the center and how the center "works," and we have left the center whenever we recognize there is a center. But at the same time, we are that center fully connected and one with it. Everything is Consciousness at play. If you, the reader, have a better description and model of the All That Is and It works for you - then use it and be about your way being happy with what is.

Following the logic from the initial premise that all is energy consciousness and the energy of energy consciousness will form itself based on how consciousness focused it attention and awareness, two points can be made. The first is that every thought, every bit of consciousness, has the potential to awaken and become cosmic consciousness. A thought can be considered a speck of energy consciousness. It has been said, both by the Native American shaman, Black Elk, and the Hermetic texts, that although one may choose a place to be the sacred place, as Black Elk’s sacred mountain in South Dakota, the sacred place exists as a sphere at every point. Every thought, every point conceivable, is sacred and connected to the oneness and has the potential for cosmic consciousness - fully at one in consciousness with the All That Is. This fact is discussed in the topic, "Creation Story for the Creativity Perspective," and more of a physics format in the topic, "Origins of Creation."

Two analogies may explain how this is possible. The first is to consider an iceberg. Only a small percentage of the iceberg is exposed above the water. Consider the part above the water as conscious and the part below, nonconscious. The more of the iceberg exposed, the closer the iceberg is to cosmic consciousness. Additionally, the amount of the iceberg exposed can be considered the "size" of the thought’s awakened consciousness. A "small" thought as the term is used here, has little awaken consciousness, although it has the potential to be fully awake, fully conscious. A large thought has more consciousness awake, more ice exposed. Essentially, whether large or small, both icebergs could become fully exposed, but it probably wouldn’t happen unless the environment in which the iceberg existed somehow changed - like a storm blowing the icebergs onto the beach. But then out of its normal environment, the iceberg would melt, lose its form, and return to the water.

In many ways the same is true of our thoughts, that is true about thoughts. They exist as they do in a given environment. As the environment changes, what is enfolded in that thought is seen differently and, in some environments that thought cannot even exist and melts back into the unfolded manifest. For example, how would we explain how a microchip works to a Neanderthal or even an 18th century physicist? The fact that we have no context to explain it nor does the Neanderthal or 18th century physicist have the belief structure to understand it, does not mean the thought and the energy that represents that thought does not exist. The environment just doe not support its unfoldment

In any case, we know that in the proper environment, the microchip does have a life and existence of its own and has created a reality around itself, but we humans would never consider the thought, "microchip," as having energy and an existence unto itself, but it does. We may say the microchip is a just a particular piece and form of silicon with the name "microchip," but are we not just a lump of biomass with a name? How do we know the microchip is not creating and dreaming its own reality, as we create and dream ours? How do we know that the manufacturing plant and process that produces the microchip is not just the microchip creation story in the same way we have our creation stories about where our origins stem. Could not the volcanic forges of Valhalla from the Wagnerian Operas be seen as manufacturing plant nor steel plant? Remember, we are only a creation within a larger creation, an intention within a larger intention. The microchip is, too, a creation within a larger creation, an intention within a larger intention. In reality, it is not really different from us. When compared to each other, it is only that one, either us or the microchip, appears to be a little more awake and consciously aware. But we do not consider the possibility the microchip may be more aware than we are. It just does not have hands and feet to move around as we do.

A second analogy to explain how it is possible for a thought to expand to cosmic consciousness can be seen on an "enlightenment scale." Looking at enlightenment schematically, one can imagine consciousness expanding out along the radius of a "consciousness circle," That is, we start at a point with zero radius. The point of zero radius is a totally or fully unaware and sleeping consciousness. We would say it is not consciousness. We could also say this point of zero radius is representative of an intention by the universe. This intention in whatever form it takes is unaware and consciously asleep. But it has the potential to become fully awake and expand outward. Here it needs to be realized, analogously to the way a seed gives rise to a life form, a thought gives rise to an creation. In any case, even being fully asleep, it is still a point of consciousness and it is that point of consciousness that is the seat of the soul or the heart of that creation, even thought it may be in an unmanifested or not-yet-individualized form. This point of consciousness ties the particular creation together with all other creations and is the creation’s connection with the oneness of the universe.

At the other extreme of the scale, we have the radius equals infinity. Where the radius equals infinity it is representative of that fully awake, fully aware consciousness or Cosmic Consciousness - full and complete awareness of the all that is. It encompasses everything. The intention, whatever form it has taken, is in awaken oneness at one with the All That Is. Here there is no concept of time or separation for all that is, is, and all is contained within the infinite circle It represents the awakening of the intention and the intention’s return to the Source and Oneness in complete awareness. But it also needs to be emphasized, that starting point can be anywhere, at any point. We, as are all intentions, created by the All That Is, exist somewhere between extreme nonconsciousness (totally unaware and asleep) and cosmic consciousness. We are neither fully asleep nor fully awake.

Each point on this scale of zero radius to an infinite radius is representative of a different awareness and, as such, represents different creations and each of these points or creations having a different and unique view of the all that is. As one move along the scale towards cosmic consciousness one becomes an expanded and more encompassing vehicle for creation. Or it can be said one becomes enlightened because they are more aware and more awake.

As such, it should be noted that throughout Releasing Your Unlimited Creativity material, the level of our consciousness is related to the level of our clearing, and removing the any blocks that prevent us from expanding into the infinity of our own being. For example, one way to look at a fear or any limiting belief is as a limit or barrier that we place between our current level of awareness and cosmic consciousness. Unless we go into our fears or remove the beliefs that limit our growth, we stay bound to the reality, or the view that we are currently in. We cannot and will not awaken to a new reality because we must remember that our expansion is like that of a sphere. We must expand equally in all directions or we will not be able to obtain oneness, because a part of our consciousness is being denied. Similarly, to expand and enter a new way of living and being in the world, we must take our whole self with us. It is also why we cannot deny anything.

One implication of this model is that we as individuals are on this "consciousness line" fully connected with all other levels of consciousness. Although we may not have conscious awareness of all that is happening, that awareness is inherent in the consciousness and we only need awaken to that awareness. Whether we realize it or not, we are already one with the All That Is, we are just not awake to that fact. It is why Christ said, "I and the Father are one." He, as an individuated consciousness, was awaken to this fact. But, we can too are one with the Father. We just are not awakened to that fact. The choice of life is really to awaken to who and what we really are or to remain asleep and believe who and what we think we are.

The second point to be made following the initial premise is that, we, as are all thoughts, other life forms, other inanimate life forms, are all of the same substance of the All That Is. It is just that all these different forms have awakened different aspects and different portions of their total potential consciousness. As such, these different forms can only hold intentions corresponding to the amount and what portion or what aspects of their consciousness they have awakened.

We can look at it through an analogy - the filter analogy of Creation. White light from the sun that we use to see and view our reality everyday is composed of seven primary colors - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet or the color spectrum of the rainbow, often called ROYGBIV (roy-gee-biv). A filter is a piece of glass, that takes one or more of these colors out of the white light causing to light that passes through the filter to appear colored and representative of the color or colors that have not been removed from the white light. A green filter is a filter that takes out the red, orange, yellow, blue, indigo and violet colors and leaves only the green. A red filter takes out all the colors but red.

Now when we look through a green filter, we can see things that reflect green light but anything that absorb it will look black and will not exist other than as a black object in the reality of green light. In the same way, a red filter will only allow we to see or experience a reality that reflects red light and if we compare the green reality with the red reality they will look different. Only those parts that reflect both green and red light will look the same, all the other pieces that absorb red and green light will look different.

We can think of the All That Is, the Divine Consciousness being that white light that contains all the colors and everything can be seen when one is in white light or in that Divine perspective. Now creation and each object in creation is only a filter, a creation that is intended or made to remove one or more of the colors from the white light to give a different view or perspective of reality. As such each filter will have a different view and one will only be able to experience and see objects within that reality based on what colors pass through the filter and can be reflected off the objects in that reality. The more asleep consciousness is representative of that filter that passes only one color. An awaken consciousness is one that passes more that one color resulting in a view that is closer to white light that is all encompassing and embraces all colors.

Hence we can say "It is just that all these different forms [filters] have awakened different aspects [one or more of the seven colors of the rainbow] and different portions [some filter a particular color more or less than another filter] of their total potential consciousness [all seven colors of the rainbow or white light]. As such, these different forms [filters] can only hold [see] intentions [objects of creations, in creation] corresponding to the amount and what portion or what aspects [the colors that pass through the filter and can be reflected] of their consciousness [total possible white light] they have awakened [the colors allowed to pass through]." Also, within this analog, we can understand as to how all of Creation - all the seen and unseen realities - exists simultaneously in the present moment but we only experience Physical Creation. That is, our consciousness is using a "Physical Creation" filter and can only see Physical Creation.

Given that the awaken portion of consciousness is giving the particular view of the universe that we see, the rest of our consciousness or the nonconscious is asleep and it is the nonconscious which holds the form for our given reality. Remember the filter analogy. The objects that did not reflect the light that passed through the filter did not go away. They still exist and are only seen as black - indistinguishable and undermined in their features. Their existence is what helps to hold the particular form of reality that we are seeing. But we do not see the from and structure because it is "black" to our eyes and all blended together into unseen reality. One final note on this filter analogy. The belief structure we hold in our mind about the nature of reality is what determines what colors and in what proportion that pass through the filter. We can change our beliefs to allow more (or less if we choose) light to pass through our filters to allow us to see and experience more (or less) of the reality in which we exist. This is the essence of becoming enlightened. To become enlightened is to simply learn how to change the filter we are using.

Some observed attributes of energy consciousness applicable to rituals

Whether or not the consciousness is asleep or awake, there are attributes or characteristics that this energy consciousness can be said to have. However, we, as human, don’t really know all the attributes that this energy consciousness. There are attributes that this energy consciousness has that we know about and will list below, but there are also attributes of this energy consciousness that we as humans have not yet awakened to perceive. This means that as we humans evolve and expand our consciousness, we will find and experience new attributes and aspects of reality that we currently don’t have. We have much to look forward to in our future as evolving consciousness at play.

In the filter analogy above, it is much like saying since we are only aware of the existence of the seven colors of the rainbow in white light that we see with our eyes, we will never see the reality of the ultraviolet and infrared portions of the electromagnetic spectrum that lie just outside and on the fringes of the seven colors of the spectrum. However, as we learn to see into these fringe spectra of ultraviolet and infrared the nature of the reality we see and know exists changes.

So what are some of these of these attributes of this energy consciousness that we already know about? The following discussion provides several that are applicable to rituals and transformation. In reviewing these attributes, we may wish to remember one aspect of the approach to explore our inherent creativity which gave rise to the energy consciousness model was to observe nature and make appropriate assumptions as to how nature works based on those observations realizing the assumptions may not hold true under a different set of conditions or in a different environment. Also some of these attributes may not seem readily observable but it not unlike the electron and proton. Although we do not readily see them, we see the effects of them. So too with energy consciousness. Energy consciousness needs to possess these attributes or properties similar to these attributes to explain the observed phenomena.

Consciousness and nonconscious: Each piece or individualized portion of energy consciousness, which are actually just an intention of Consciousness, has a conscious portion and nonconscious portion or aspect. The conscious portion of that piece or individualized portion of energy consciousness that can consciously intend and create. It can also be seen as that portion of individualized consciousness that is observing creation or having the experience in creation. The nonconscious portion holds the form within the reality that the All That Is, by Its intention (or sum of intentions), has set or chosen for that individualized piece of energy consciousness to experience. The nonconscious portion can be seen as that which the observer observes. The conscious portions is the observer observing.

A corollary to this attribute is that since each individualized portion of consciousness or intention of Consciousness is a part of Consciousness it too can create. However, each of these individualized portion of consciousness or intentions can create or hold a form only to a limited amount. In many ways, the limit is related to the amount of consciousness that has or has not awakened. Since this individualized portion is limited in the intention it can create, the role it can play within a specific creation is also limited. The "Disneyland Reality" found in the topic, "A way to view living in a shared creation" discusses the implications of this concept further.

Emotions: Each piece of energy consciousness has emotions or the potential to awaken to emotions. The emotions are name we give to the flow of creative life energy and force behind changing, remolding and recasting creation. For practical purposes, emotion can be seen as energy consciousness in motion. In the same way thoughts are "captured" and are acted upon by the body to cause creation because of the emotional energy we put behind those actions, emotions act upon consciousness to move it into creating.

It is said in many of the esoteric traditions that the Universe was created out of love. It is the flow of energy which we call emotion personified as love that moved Consciousness to create the reality in which we live. If the emotions are not awaken, there will be little drive to create. Emotional energy is analogous to vibrational energy in molecules. It is the vibrational energy that allows the molecules to move around and if we take the molecules down to absolute zero and remove all the vibrational energy, the molecules don’t move but yet the still have a minimum energy that keeps the electrons moving in orbit. We can exist without emotional energy but we don’t really do anything other than exist in form. It is the emotional energy that allows for movement.

Stick-to-it-tive-ness: Stick-to-it-tive-ness is a name given to a phenomenon of energy consciousness which gives rise to our attachments. There is an aspect to energy consciousness that is related to emotion which can be best characterized as liking something and being drawn to its nurturing feeling or disliking something and being repelled. All energy and thoughts, whether the conscious or nonconscious portion of this energy, has a stick-to-it-tive-ness where the thought or energy sticks to something or clings to something. It is the essence of the magnetic attraction to pull or repel things in our lives. Stick-to-it-tive-ness is another way to describe how we focus our attention and awareness to remain fixed on or attached to something.

Every form of consciousness, every individual speck of consciousness, even simple thoughts, if they have a conscious portion, can electively choose to attach to something and remain attached. If it is nonconscious it will go or be pulled to where it "feels good" or "feels at home." This stick-to-it-tive-ness is just the energy or thought form’s focus and attention being placed consciously and/or nonconsciously on an object. This is the essence of how we form attachments to people, places and things and how we are drawn to particular people, places or things. As we add and subtract beliefs we are also adding and subtracting our stick-to-it-tive-ness in a given direction of focus and attention as characterized in those beliefs.

In many what this is the essence of how daemon possession can be seen to occur and some forms of parasitic life attached to an individual. It is the basis of casting out daemons or de-possession. Homeless or restless thoughts, which can be seen as a life unto themselves, attach themselves to where they feel "warm and comfy" or where they have been invited in but don’t really belong. We get them to leave by making the space less favorable and no longer a warm and comfy place. In a similar way, one can removed parasites from a situation not necessarily by killing them but making the environment no longer acceptable to their growth and habitation.

Focus and Attention: All forms of energy consciousness can choose to focus or not to focus its attention. The choice to focus one’s energy and attention is only an aspect of our free will. The ability is always present but some creations, as do some individuals, are not consciously awake to this ability and only do it in a nonconscious fashion.

Forgetfulness (or maybe distractedness is more appropriate): Forgetfulness is related to both Stick-to-it-tive-ness and focus and attention. Whenever we focus our attention on an object or a subject of interest we direct our energy onto that object of focus and it sticks or attaches to that object. Because we have limited focus we routinely shift our focus to other objects and in doing so, we direct our energy to a new object of focus. However, because of the stick-to-it-tive-ness, if we have not consciously decoupled our energy off the former object of focus some of our energy can remain attached and we forget this attachment because we have become distracted. Now what this means is that a portion of our energy remains stuck to this former object of focus and less energy is available to us to apply to a new creation. We literally forget where we put our energy. If we continually do this, in a very short time we have little energy available to create because all there energy is attached to things of the past.

Matter - condensed consciousness: Matter can be considered as solidified, frozen, dense consciousness or consciousness held in form by intention through the nonconscious. However, the physical size or density of an object or piece of matter is not reflective of the level of awakenness or awareness of the consciousness forming the object. In the same fashion, the form a piece of this individuated consciousness takes whether it is awake or asleep, can be very dense and contained in a small physical space or it can be in a large space, spread very thinly everywhere like a vapor, and it can express itself as an animate or inanimate object. It is only a matter of what intention for experience is being expressed by that individuated consciousness.

Thoughts have life: A single thought or a "minute" intention can be representative of an expression of consciousness in the form of what we call life, but it is only as thoughts coagulate or stick together and reach a certain "concentration" that we humans recognize them as an object or entity having life. For those readers who are familiar with the Carlos Castaneda books, the assemblage point refers to where all the thoughts for a particular view or reality or entity converge giving the particular view of the universe unique to that entity. For those familiar with the Kaballah literature, a golum would represent a thought or assembled thoughts (an entity) created by a man perceived of as having life but not yet of sufficient concentration to be observed physically. On this topic of man creating thought forms with life we review the Rumi quote on the topic of two individuals coming together in great emotion.

In general, humans recognize only a few particular aspects of consciousness that corresponds to awakened consciousness within us that we recognized as awake in another creation as representing life. Another way of saying this is, that what we call life or define as being alive is, in actuality, only several attributes of consciousness that we recognize as being awake in ourselves and our object of interest and define us as being alive. But, in fact, all creations of Consciousness contains these same attributes but we do not recognized them as being awake so therefore we do not recognize the creation as being alive.

Recognition of Consciousness: What we define life and what is alive is only the energy consciousness which expresses itself in a form that is representative of an expression of consciousness that we can recognize by one or more of our five senses and that we humans acknowledge its existence in reality. Another way of saying this is that there is much consciousness present in the universe but since it doesn’t lend itself to being measured by one of our five senses, we don’t recognize it as existing. Now, we, as modern man, have expanded our ability to perceive beyond our five sense. But, in fact, we have still limited ourselves to our five senses. For example, we can see the bones within our bodies with X-rays, we can talk and listen to robots on Mars and we can see within our own blood vessels with optical fibers. However, all of these and other technologies only allow us to relate what we experience back to one of the five senses. We have not yet routinely been capable of perceiving beyond our five senses. There are other portions of our consciousness that still can be awaken that most have not yet experienced.

Consciousness Expands: As an individuated piece of consciousness awakens, it "expands" past what once satisfied it and will eventually out grow its present form. Individuals, as do other awakening forms, evolve past the people, objects and environment in which they exist at any given time. This is why people, places and things do not carry the same power for someone that they once did. In this aspect, it is to be noted that it is at this time, when our consciousness is expanding past our existing form and environment that we need to let go of that past and that environment. Otherwise we will just cause pain to arise. This concept of causing pain because we are holding onto that which must past from our life is probably the single largest obstacle to transformation. To hold to a preexisting form limits the growth of consciousness. It is the holding that causes the pain, not the change.

Consciousness awakens consciousness: It is said above that humans consider a creation as alive or existing only if we recognize some aspect of their own awaken consciousness within that object or focus. Otherwise the human don’t see it as existing for the human has no context to perceive it. In understanding this fact, then if one stays only with what one recognizes, one will not further awaken their consciousness. To continue to awaken and expand one’s consciousness we will finds it is necessary to be taken beyond our current awaken consciousness in some way - to push the limits and barrier to who and what we think we are. This is why people, places and things come together for a time and when they achieve what they came together for, they can separate and move on. When the people, things or environment are no longer exciting, and awakening our consciousness, we have outgrown the energy of these things and to continue to expand and evolve we normally must allow them to leave our life.

We have all experienced how we changes our consciousness and what we believe by being in the presence of another individual. We can use this fact to consciously to awaken our consciousness by choosing to be in the presence of an awakened consciousness. Much of this occurs whether we realize it or not. There is a natural flow to reawaken all individualized consciousness to who and what it is and return to the Source. It is the breathing in and breathing out of the universe. This awakening occurs on both the conscious and/or nonconscious level.

Sum greater than parts: The sum of the individual parts is always greater than the whole. As consciousness awakens consciousness, the combined combination is more aware than the individual parts. This allows for new understandings, new creations. The more dissimilar the conscious and nonconscious portions in each form that comes together, the greater the potential in awaking the opposite portions in each and creating a completely new awakened consciousness. This effect can be seen in the analogy where individual atoms come together to form molecules. The molecules have completely new energy states and properties completely different than any of the individual atoms. New and different things can be done when atoms are in the molecular arrangement as opposed to individual atoms. This concept of the group forming a consciousness above itself has been called overmind or a collective. The sum being greater than the parts is the essence of the traditional sacrament of matrimony where two are joined to form a new creation.

Consciousness transcends barriers: In the same way one can go into an oyster and remove the pearl which is imbedded as an irritation for the oyster, one can transcend a problem, pain, limit or barrier and remove the issue, from a higher perspective or from a more expanded level of awareness. Although it may be the environment that awakens the consciousness to the new awareness to transcend an issue it is the strength of will and personal power of the individual that actually removes the barrier. Again, removing barriers and fears is a solo journey that cannot always be done alone, the solo portion still needs to be done by the individual but it with the assistance of others that consciousness awakens consciousness to bring the awareness to the individual to awaken to the existence of the barrier and methods that may assist the individual in overcoming the barrier.
