The
greatest common good
Clarity of intent, clear intention
or clarity of intention is best understood in a statement made in
several discussion. It is, if we make our decision and act and we
have the determination and passion of a drowning person has for air,
a
blinding passion, nothing else is needed. A drowning person
grasping for air has no doubt whatsoever for what they seek. Without
air, they know they will die. So too in our creative efforts. With
such a passion, either we will get what we desire or a part of us
dies. In most cases, if we have a blinding passion for what we
desire, we will get what we seek or die in some way trying.
Although this statement is made about the energy and passion to
create what we desire, it is equally true about clarity of intent. A
drowning person has tremendous clarity as to what they seek and
desire. There is no room of for doubt. We should seek the same
clarity of intent for anything we desire to create.
Exploring
the words and their implications (Top)
The first thing to do to help get
clarity is to write out on paper in very clear and precise language
what it is we want to manifest.
Writing out our intention does two things. One is that we can verify
and ensure it is correct the way we want it. Did what we write say
want we mean? We can contemplate the words that we use and look at
their implications to ensure it is what we wish to do. We need to be
free to enter our
creative imagination and play with the implications. We need to
allow ourselves to explore what the words and their implications
really mean.
Ambiguous word will leave a level of variability in what manifests.
But, be aware it is usually better to let the universe manifest what
we desire in its optimum way versus us providing it a very
prescriptive set of requirements as to how it is done.
The second things is that writing out our intention affirms a
contract between us and what we wish to create. It is the first step
in making what we wish physical. There is a facet of creation that
is not entirely obvious. That is, the Universe moves to meet our
intention.
Look at setting an intention as standing on the top of a mountain.
We are free to walk in any direction down the mountain. Until we
choose which direction we will walk, we will not see the obstacles
we have to face. We can only see the obstacles as we start to walk
in the direction we choose to walk. On the top of the mountain, the
Universe looked one way. As soon as we start to walk down the
mountain the mountain appears to become different.
We don’t put the obstacles there, the Universe does. But they have
always been there. We just don’t see them and they don’t appear to
exist in our life until we choose to walk down the mountain. They
exist as a result of our choice. In essence we created them. The
Universe only response to what we have asked to experience. That is,
you have asked to walk down the mountain in a given direction.
But we say, “I did not ask for obstacles.” The Universe’s reply is,
“Well, face reality as it exists, not how you think it exists.” But
this is true for every intention we set. We have an idea of what we
want but it does not necessarily correspond and/or agree with
reality. We are the faced with acting on our intention within
reality as we find it, dropping our intention, or changing the
reality. We can change the reality in one of two way. One is to
choose to go in another direction. The other is to literally cause
reality to become different such that the nature of the obstacle
changes. For example, being in frigid temperatures is an obstacle to
exploring the environment. By wearing heavy clothes or a thick coat,
the frigid temperatures become less of an obstacle. In essence we
change the nature of the reality we experience.
Exploring what we really want (Top)
Exploring what we really want has
two parts. One is do we want all the implication and consequences of
the results that we get for any give intention. The other is what do
we really what to feel in stating our intention. To address what we
want to feel we just need to become aware of our feelings and decide
how important it is in driving our intention. Then we need to get
clarity on the feeling we wish to experience.
To decided whether or not we want the implications and consequences,
we can do two things. One is to look at all the implications and
consequences we can think of and decided if we want them. The other
is to go in the reverse direction and ask why do we want what we
intend. In understanding the “Why?” behind what we intend, we may
find we really want something else but we did not really give much
consideration to what we really wanted.
For example, as college student, we could say, “I want to become a
doctor.” We can then look at the life style of doctors and ask if
that is the life style that will ultimate satisfy what us. Or we
could ask “Why become a doctor?” There are many other ways to help
people. There are many other ways to apply science. There are any
other ways to gain prestige. There are many other ways to gain
money. The question is “Why a doctor and not something else?” What
is the real motivation for becoming a doctor for that is the
motivation which ultimately needs to be satisfied.
When do we want it (Top)
Our desire should be visualized as
an accomplished fact, not something that will happen in the future.
If the desire is visualized in the future, it will be kept there -
in the future. See what you desire as already happen for on the
level of the universe that orchestrations what manifests it has
happened. See that your intention is instantaneously integrated and
in process for manifestation.
The important point here is that the Universe begins to change in to
the intention we hold and act to manifest. The fact we see no change
does not mean nothing is happening. Our thoughts are seeds which
must be acted upon and unfolded in action.
The physical plane is about growing, unfolding and evolving An apple
come several months after the bud on the apple tree in the spring.
The apple exists in the bud. Only time and nourishment is needed for
that bud to turn into an apple. So too our intentions. The desire we
hold is a seed that is planted and will grow into what we desire.
All we need to do is to nourish it in the way it needs to be
nourished and it will grow and bear fruit. One way we nourish it is
to believe it will grow and unfold if the environment and support
it. In this regard, we may have to do some things in the environment
to allow it to grow and unfold.
What needs to be emphasized here is that we need to see our
intention as manifesting and speak words which reflect that
awareness.
Embrace
the creative power that you are (Top)
State your intention from full
personal power without doubt, and not from weakness or lack of self
worth. Ensure the path is clear. Know that the universe molds itself
to your intention and no matter what you think and feel the universe
molds itself to those thoughts and feelings. So in makes no sense to
hold feelings and thoughts other than you are a being of great
personal power and self worth with great gifts to bring into
manifestation. Allow your intention to reflect that power.
If you feel unworthy or do not feel you have such power, review the
stories of the Eaglet and Lion Cub in the discussion, “The
Human Condition as Seen from the Creativity Perspective.”
Understand that you have been unable to access your creative power
and have the self worth to know it and to exercise it only because
you have never been told or shown how to use it. The Releasing Your
Unlimited Creativity material is telling you that you have such
power and is providing you a way to access it.
The greatest common good
(Top)
One thing that is often missed is
that we are in Creation with others and our intentions will
ultimately need to be integrated with others. The nature of the
Universe is that energy follows the path of least resistence. Things
will flow into existence along a natural course set by the
environment in which it flows.
When we encounter obstacles, we tend to push them away. Nature
however, does something different. It will first attempt to simply
flow around the obstacles. If it can’t flow around the obstacle the
flow will build up and look for another way to flow. If that cannot
happen the flow will build up until it simply flows over the
obstacle or pushes it away. So, it probably can be safely said, the
nature order of things is to push something out of the way only as
last resort.
When we set an intention,
our creative spirit that is also a flow of energy does not seek
to confront anyone. It seeks to flow around what is in the path and
it seeks the path of least resistence. After all, it is a flow of
energy into creation. Any intention to hurt another or push another
out of the way does not come from our creative spirit but our mind.
It is a conscious ego based intentional action if you wish to hurt
another. That desire, in turn, takes us out of optimum creative
power for that is not the natural flow path for our creative power.
It needs to be realized, all arises out of the same material of
creation. Our creative spirit works with the All That Is through the
interconnectedness and oneness of all that is to manifest our
desires. Our creative spirit as a flow of energy looks for the path
of least resistance.
We have a
free will and the All That Is will allows us to manifest
whatever we wish. But our creative spirit has
incarnated for a particular purpose. Being in a direct
connection with the All That Is, our creative spirit desires to
manifest the love that has created it,
the desire for that playmate that has created it. .
As a result, the energy of our creative spirit is not directed
toward harm and hurt. We can use our will to direct our energy any
way that we want without judgment for that is what
free will means. However, there are consequences for any action
we take.
When we choose to intentionally harm another, we are using our will
to redirect the energy within our being and it takes energy to
redirect energy. As a result we will never live fully within the
power, or fully experience the power that is potentially available
to us if we are redirecting the energy from the direction our soul
wishes to go.
In this regard, it takes more energy to intentionally harm another
than to love another. It always cause us something which harms
ourselves when we intentionally harm another. To love another, that
is allow them to become who and what they need to be without
interference, is the nature flow and order of things. To
intentionally harm another in any way, or even control them in some
way, goes against nature flow of the energy within our being. We can
do it if we so choose but it takes energy to do so.
It needs to be remembered, energy can be neither created or
destroyed, only transformed To intentionally harm another, harms
ourselves or causes us to even go in opposition to our soul in some
way. In doing so, it will cost us something within our being. Most
likely it will manifest as an
energy deficiency such as an illness within our physical form,
if not some type or kind of
pain, or what is called
karmic
burden that bind us to the physical plane longer than necessary. But
we do have an eternity to fulfill our desires so chose what you
wish. You are responsible for what you manifest.
The recommendation made here is that whatever intention you set,
look to see if it serves the greatest common good. If not, at least
look to see if you are explicitly and directly harming someone or
implicitly harming them. Look to see if there is not some way to get
what you want and create the space for the other to get what they
desire. The Universe is magical enough that each of us can be free
to unfold true to who we are. However, we have to look for that way.
