Traditionally, individuals have used a “Tradition,” whether spiritual or secular, to focus their attention and awareness to access their creative potential. Whether the individual sees how the given tradition is accessing their creative potential is another question. However, each tradition has it own belief structure and imposed limits to manifest a particular type and kind of creation.

The figure to the left diagrams what different traditions would look like of you compared their conscious and subconscious understanding of creativity. That is, how readily the beliefs that the tradition holds allows its members to become conscious creators or how much of their creative effort is done in unawareness of exactly how and what they are creating.

A tradition, whether it be a spiritual tradition or an engineering tradition, tends to come into existence in response to a question or set of issues that someone attempts to solve or address and that understanding can be used to create. Hence there is an understanding about the given topic the tradition was created to address.

How one is able to use a given tradition to create or develop their creativity will vary from tradition to tradition since all tradition do not necessary encourage creativity and some have more awareness of one’s individual creative abilities than others. Also, many traditions were not designed around accessing one’s creativity but rather the focus was to address the issue or question that the creators of that traditions felt as needing to be addressed. Some traditions, such a Tradition A in the figure, may give great awareness but little conscious understanding of creativity or how one creates their experiences like transcending pain or the human condition. Others, such as B, may give the same conscious understanding of creativity as A but with less awareness. That is, individuals are able to create what they desire but they don’t really know how they do it for the tradition often only gives the prescription or the formula.

Each tradition has its own belief structure and imposed limits to manifest a particular type and kind of creation based on what the tradition was created to address in the first place or created to sustain. In any tradition much of how creation is performed is through the rituals and habits within that the system and the action it creates in the followers of that tradition. For example, the use of particular mathematical theorems and procedures in engineering without really understanding the theorem or procedures are just as much a ritual as the cleansing or purification actions performed within a religions traditions. They only look different because of what one creates with those rituals. Unless there is understanding of what is done and why it is done, the creative activities are essentially occurring subconsciously. That is, without a conscious awareness and understanding. In the end, you may not even understand what you really are creating in life by what has been given to you.

In many ways you can say what is presented here and the particular approach that is utilize is itself a tradition. The goal of this material is to help you develop the ability to hold a single point focus to concentrate your understanding of your creative abilities into a focused set of beliefs and then raise your awareness of those beliefs to as high a level as possible where most of your creation is done in consciousness. No particular tradition or traditional approach is endorsed.

Rather you are encouraged to focus your attention and awareness on your own heart and what is symbolized by the heart and allow your internal compass and the fulness of being to lead you. Then, with that internal compass, you are encouraged to align with the flow of your creative life energy, the Source of your being, to lead your life. When most of our creation is done in consciousness, and more importantly, in the conscious awareness of what is symbolized in the heart, then we have the true freedom to choose the reality of our choice. The approach here is to assist the individual in accessing and developing their own heart as a guide and access their own unique creative methodology and context for creating. Then, in that conscious awareness, they can expand their creative abilities in all directions as diagramed in the figure below.

The reason the approach used in this material encourages the use of what is symbolized by the heart as the instrument and/or the guide to focus one’s creative ability because, in using the heart, two things will happen. One is that your unique understanding and method of creation will be revealed and your creative power and ability will reside within your being and not dependent on any external source. The second it that the intention for your life that lies behind your incarnation or your purpose for incarnating will be either become consciously known to you or you will follow that intention as you align your understanding around your heart. In either case, in doing so, you will access and create a deep internal satisfaction within your being that will provide you with a source of unlimited satisfaction and creativity for you will have contacted the source/Source of your being.
