Energy generation to create through human sexuality

In the human being, the instinct to mate comes from the hormone testosterone found in both males and females. Dopamine regulates pleasure and focus. Whenever we fall in love with someone, dopamine levels increase. Dopamine then triggers testosterone associated with sex. Hence, dopamine associated with love can lead us to lust and testosterone can mimic feelings of love. Any kind of sexual stimulation not only drives up testosterone associated with sex but also drives up dopamine. This then can pus one over the threshold of falling in live with someone.

A similar relationship exists between the creative tension of a creative endeavor and sexuality. The flow of energy generated by a creative endeavor can enthuse our entire being and stimulate the sex organs. The stimulation of the sex organs then generate feelings of sexuality. The sexuality which arise may or may not be a result of the need to mix our energy with another. But, in any case, the flow of energy of the creative endeavor causes feelings of sex to arise. Alternatively, sex is about creating life. Any sexual stimulation can create flow of energy and that sexual stimulation may result in a desire to become creative in our life if not to recreate our life.

The energy for any creation arises from the separation of opposites in the creative tension. Each creation is a result of a flow of energy and each flow of energy is the result of the creative tension between two opposites. The flow of energy which gives rise to a creation can be experienced in a variety of ways. Many of these flows of energy are experienced with sexual. They can be experienced as sexual feelings, sexual attraction for a specific or not specific other, a desire for the beloved, the perception of a muse, and other similar types and kinds of sexually related feelings or feelings with sexual overtones. The reason for this is the opposites which gives rise a flow of energy can be seen as the masculine and feminine aspects of being. As a result, any flow of energy can be experienced as sexual if we have focused our attention and awareness to experience it as such as a result of how and what we think and believe.

In talking about the masculine and feminine joining in the creative tension to create a flow of energy, it is almost impossible to discuss the topic without becoming biased or influenced by our social, cultural and personal understanding and experiences with the masculine and feminine aspects and the joining of the male and female in sexuality. Our understanding of the terms masculine and feminine are tremendously influences by how we have experienced them played out by our selves and members of the same and opposite sex. In this regard, it needs to be understood there are what can be called two levels to the joining of the masculine and feminine creative aspects and two way to understand it. One level is on the energy and consciousness level. The other is on the physical level where the masculine and feminine are embodied in the human body.

To understand the creative power of sexuality, we need to focus on the energy and consciousness aspect of sex. If we focus on the physical level and the physical joining of the masculine and feminine aspects of creation is a bit more difficult to see exactly how the masculine and feminine aspects operate to generate energy for several reasons. One reason is that there is an inner masculine and an inner feminine in both the male and female bodies which get reflected externally. As such, one or the other or both could be operating in any one moment within the individual biasing and controlling the external response.

A second reason is that the body itself, whether male or female is actually an expression of the feminine aspect of creation. This is the result of a flow of energy unfolding within Physical Creation and holding the form of creation desired by the consciousness behind the creation/Creation. In this regard there are aspects of the body which are actually the expression of the feminine aspect of creation of which we are unaware yet are influencing our actions and decision. For example, this explains the strong desire of the body for the warm fuzzy feeling much what a child feels when held by a loving mother and breast fed.

The third reason, and probably primary reason, is that the masculine and feminine aspect is not what most people think it is when we say joining the masculine and feminine. Most tend to think about the joining of a male and female body in sexuality. Although the masculine and feminine aspects are present, they are masked by the complexity of the human sexuality and our programming and experiences about sex. To fully understand the energy generated created through sexuality and learning how to use it relative to our creative endeavors it is necessary to become aware of our creative spirit, the origins of the creative tension, the masculine and feminine aspects of creation/Creation, and sexuality and creativity.

As an individuated point of consciousness having the physical experience of being a human being, we can see ourselves and an individuated flow of energy that has, or, as a consciousness unto itself, a creative spirit, a (traditional) spirit within a body or a body with a (traditional) spirit. So too any particular aspect of our being or of Creation including the energy generated in us through sexuality. That is, each can be perceived as a flow of energy or as a consciousness unto itself. It can and will have a life of its own. If the flow of energy is within us and we do not nourish that life it will die but also a part of us dies with it for it is a part of us. It all depends on the perspective we hold.

The recommendation as to how to learn to know how we generate energy through sexuality for our creative endeavors is as follows. Become mindful and aware of what we think and feel. Learn to discern what we feel. Then learn to dance to dance between the mind and the heart to learn what each feels like in leading. In dancing between mind and heart we can explore both the energy and consciousness aspects of both the mind and the heart and the feminine and masculine aspects of being. It is this awareness which allows us to understand how to creative use the energy generated in sexuality and how to use sexuality in our creative endeavors.
