To many, the ideas expressed in the Orchestrating the Organization approach and what is proposed for organizations is fanciful and wishful thinking of some utopian world. Based on the prevalent views of how Creation works and what is the real identity of the individual held by most, the Releasing Your Unlimited Creativity material is very esoteric and seems to be wishful thinking, impractical, and maybe even useless. However, the understanding within the Orchestrating the Organization arose after twenty five years of looking at systems failures and accidents and trying to "fix" existing organizations and systems so they would not have similar failures. In particular, over time, the focus became one of identifying the types and kinds of precursors that caused accidents or system breakdowns. When one begins to focus on the individual and their contribution in and/or preventing accidents usually the first issue is training and qualifications. But if one looks deeper, the issue becomes one of being mindful and aware with the prerequisite knowledge to know what to look for and/or recognize anomalous situations and/or indications. In looking at how and why some individuals are awake, mindful and aware where as others with the same prerequisite knowledge, qualifications and training, are not what came to be understood was there was an aspect of the human being that was seemingly unrecognized and not addressed by existing organizational and management theories and philosophies. The unrecognized aspect is loosely attempted to be addressed by organizational motivational efforts and the like. But these efforts normally never go to the depth necessary. Namely, the energy that sustains a human being is a creative life energy and it desire to create and experience new creations. It ultimately gets bored when it is not challenged. So if it cannot be creating consciously in some way, it will do so nonconsciously. When one understands this fact one’s whole view of both the individual, the organization and Creation itself shifts. The question and challenge then becomes, "How does one incorporate this understanding into the organization?"
