In understanding and accessing the
creative
ability and creative power available to us in any situation, and/or to
reconstitute our
creative ability and creative power, there are three journeys that
we need to undertake. Or, we can see it as one long journey with
three parts. In accessing our creativity, there will be a
spiral
nature that we experience with these journeys. The overall journeys
or its parts will each be governed by an intention. What we
experience and which journey we take is determined by how we set our
intention and how we choose to experience the journey we take.
The over all journey or it parts seem to spiral around for two
reason. One reason is we explore the same issue in different ways in
different parts of the journey. As we go deeper into our
understanding we begin to see there are different way or layers as
to how we can perceive any one situation. The second reason is we
live in the illusion that we have a spiritual, mental, emotional and
physical aspect to our being rather than a oneness and wholeness.
Hence, each experience we have can be explored at a spiritual,
mental, emotional and physical level.
The first journey or part of the larger journey, is to understand
how we have created our current situation. It is to see how have we
have assembled the pieces of our life into our current reality and
who we think we are and how we think the universe works to manifest
the situation in which we find ourselves.
The second part of the journey is to shatter the image that we have
about the current situation to build one that is truly you based on
who we are and the reality of the facts at hand. This part of the
journey is about shattering the boundaries between the separate
spiritual, mental, emotional and physical aspects of the situation.
Or, if not shatter all of them, begin to break down the barriers
between each of them.
The third journey is to explore the available options that we have
within the
environment in which we find ourselves. We then select a
creative solution that is based on our true essence and the facts at
hand and then manifest this option. This may involved recreating our
environment which will requires us to explore the aspects of our
inner world that give rise to the particular environment in which we
find ourselves.
The process we experience in these three journeys or parts of the
larger journey its very much spiral in its nature as stated above.
In essence, we will need to take each of these three journeys for
every level or aspect of our being that we decide to change and for
whatever we choose to manifest. It is here how we set our intention
becomes very important. We can set an intention that causes us to
experience all of these aspects as separate journeys or we can set
one overall intention that allows us to explore everything all at
once. Of course, the impact on our lives is quite different between
these two ends of a spectrum of options.
Few realize the true depth and breath of our being. Consequently,
every time we make a journey to discover who we really are based on
what we currently know, we find there is a tremendous amount more to
discover. It seems never ending and it is for we are
infinite creative beings. When start from a limited perception of ourselves
and find more to discover, we are faced with starting the journey of
discovery again only to find we are still deeper and broader than we
first imagined. The problem is, even if we assume we are an infinite
being, we will find there are infinities nestled within infinities
such that we can literally and figurative become lost in the journey
unless we have a very clear intention as to what we are trying to
discover about ourselves. If we focus on understanding how we create
the reality we experience, the journey is very manageable and we can
use that understanding to create and/or explore any aspect of a
reality build upon infinities nested within infinities.
What we find as we utilize and exercise our “creativity muscles” is
that our awareness expands and grows outward. We continually seem to
have to revisit prior solutions that we implemented in our life.
Simply said, as we grow into our creativity, our previous world no
long fits the “new” we give ourselves much the same way a child
outgrows their clothes as they grow - they just no longer fit. It is
not there is anything wrong with what is discarded. Rather is just
no longer fits.
What we will find is that any prior solution to any problem or
situation that we implemented is based on our knowledge up to that
point in time. As we become more and more aware of our options as we
continual create new solutions to other problems and situations, we
will find our old solutions have become out dated and need to be
revisited. The problem is never ending. As we become aware of this
pattern, we can either work the situation at hand or “jump” to
beyond the further most point that we think is possible for our
life. This means we work with the next step in the pattern or jump
to where the pattern is leading.
We have a choice how we become creative and/or
reconstitute our
creative
ability and creative power. We can become creative for our
current issue and/or problem. Or, we can use the current situation
to access and explore our unlimited creativity and reconstitute our
creative ability and creative power to have our unlimited creativity
accessible to any and all problems that you have the possibility of
encountering. Analogously it is like walking from Washington D.C. to
San Francisco encountering all the obstacles along the way one at a
time or simply getting on an airplane and flying there. Of course to
fly there, we first have to understand how it is possible to fly
past all the obstacles.
The difference in these two approaches is analogous to the
difference between the slow path and fast path described in the
topic “Most significant issue we face.” The choice is ours and we
are free to choose as we wish. We only need to be aware that the
deeper and more expansive our creativity becomes the greater the
magnitude of change that we can expect to occur in our life both
internally and externally. We will not be able to keep the changes
within ourselves. Because of
how the inner reflects the outer, the
changes will spill out to recreate our external world that we
experience.
In choosing the journey we wish to take we can look at accessing,
releasing and reconstituting our creativity as learning to fly an
airplane. First we make the decision to fly. Then we spend some time
learning about flying and the principles that we will use in flying
an airplane (or the principles behind a glider or hot air balloon if
our interests in flying is other than an airplane). Learning and
contemplating the principles within the

Creativity material is the time we would spend in the classroom
learning the principles of flight.
Then, after learning and understanding the principles, we normally
simulate the appropriate aspects of flying and/or walk through the
steps we will need to do when we are flying and get a integrated
feel for the process. The main issue in the simulation is to get
both a feel for what we are going to do and to become familiar with
what it is we are going to do before you actually do it. It makes no
sense trying to figure out what controls land the plane while we are
trying to land. It is better to know the controls that we need to
land the plane before we even take off.
Depending on our training, we may actually use a simulator of some
type or we just manipulate the controls of the airplane to get a
feel for them. In the simulation phase with a simulator we may also
try things many different ways and experiment with the principles to
see how they really work. In modern simulation, we can even get a
feel for what crashing our airplane feels like and can even simulate
destroying ourselves and our airplane. This can be a very valuable
experience. If we go though the experience of what it feels like to
be in a crash sequence, we can awaken to the sequence when it
actually happens to we give ourselves an opportunity to take
appropriate compensatory measure to either change the crash sequence
or mitigate the crash that may be inevitable. In creativity and
creative endeavors, this stage is where we would do
rituals or
metatheater
to experiment and see what feel correct for what we wish
to create.
After getting a feel for what we need to do, at some point, we
practice flying with an instructor followed by a solo flight. In
creativity, here we hold our intention to create and manifest that
intention in the physical world allowing our
intuitive guidance to
lead us into the manifestation. Often the
rainmaker, dream midwife
and dream nanny serve as that instructor or guide until we know the
feel of the parts of being that are being newly express by our freed
creative spirit.
After the solo flight we practice and improve our ability until our
abilities become part of a new way of being for us. Form a
creativity perspective, it is here we create whatever we wish when
we wish using and mastering the techniques we develop in the
previous steps. Over time, flying become a routine part of our life
and we choose to use it or we don’t. Similarly with creativity. Once
we understand how to create our reality of choice, we can choose to
create our reality or simply go along with the flow that others have
created.
Our final step will be for us decide whether or not we will become
the creator of our reality and create the
reality
we experience in
every way or we follow along as we did in the past, giving our power
away allowing others to create the reality that we experience. Again
we are free to develop our creativity at any level of our being. We
only need to be aware that we will find there is a rather
common
process that occurs and we will need to become comfortable with the
process.
