Although our
creative life energy flow is continuous flow, it rises and falls
depending on the emotional energy we have for what we do. It can be
said our emotions throttle the flow of our creative life energy.
However, we cannot store the energy we throttle back. Rather, it
goes into creating memories of experiences that do not serve us. We
then dissipate this energy in feeling at some level of our being
that we are not living true to ourselves. If we find ourselves
throttling back too much, we may even feel
pain. We then may be moved to numb the pain and develop and an
addictive behavior or an addiction of some type to keep the pain
suppressed.
The first step in creating anything is to focus our attention and
awareness on the thought or idea. It does not always have to be a
desires. This is why fears can be so damaging to our creativity. We
focus on the fear and in doing so, send it energy to keep it alive
and well within our psyche.
The second thing we need to give our creation is time. We need to
give it time in two ways. One is
we need to tithe to it. The other is to give it time to grow and
unfold. Some creations occur quickly, other take time and we cannot
continually change focus or we will delaying, if not destroying, the
creation we desire.
In tithing to our creation and giving it energy, the more emotional
energy and passion we can put into what we choose to create the
greater the energy we give it. Relative to passion, here again, what
we believe determines how much passion we allow ourselves to put
into any effort. Our emotional energy is like the rain that supplies
the water in the river. If we have little passion for what we do,
the waters are shallow and we have little energy available even if
you give the effort an enormous amount of time. However, if we are
extremely passionate about something, we can give it an enormous
amount of energy in a very short period of time.
This is true for anything we do and includes the passion with which
we seek to avoid something. We think of passion as the energy to
make something happen but there is also the passion to not make
something happen or avoid something. Any strong dislikes are being
energized by a level of passion. More often than not this energy
goes into activities that do not serve us. As a minimum they divert
our creative life energy from what we desire to create. Often they
create undesired experiences..
If we does something out of obligation or duty to ourselves or
another, there will be little passion behind what we do. If you do
it out of love a passion will be present. Yet, most have confused
duty and love. Love is freeing to ourselves and the other. Duty is
binding. Many things we do out of love are actually out of duty. In
this case the results are always much less than anticipated. To know
if something is being done out of duty or love, look to see if the
result is freeing to both oneself and the other.
As we explore our true nature, we will find it is our beliefs and
how we believe that ultimately turns our emotional energy on or off.
Most keep it off because we fear losing control if we become
passionate about something. However, it is only in losing control
and being out of mind that we begins to see the true depth and
breath of our own being and the enormity of our creative powers
available to us. If we learn to create a single point focus and
maybe even a living meditation for our life, we do not have to worry
about losing control and stepping out of mind. We will never
becoming lost because we are constantly aware of our single point
focus and what we are intending to create. Rather, in doing so, we
open the door to move toward that
most creative state of play. We can live our life with an open
throttle. We only have to learn how to do so.
