A key understanding about mind Mind is the composite all that we think and believe and all our memories. It arises as a result of the experiences we have had. The key understanding about mind relative to our creativity and our creative power, is that mind only knows the past. It is of limited value in a true creative endeavor. To begin to understand and explore our mind the following discussion are. Some starting questions for exploration are provided below. An ancient recommendation and the need to become aware of what you feel There is an ancient recommendation about how to live our life. It is to engage in "good thoughts, good words and good deeds." However, to do this we must ask the question, "How do we know what thoughts are good, what words are good and what deeds are good?" The answer is that if we are open to feeling, we can feel what thoughts, words and deeds serve us and those that do not serve. We only need to become aware of what we feel and become aware of those that give us a feeling of expansion within our being and we are able to grow beyond ourselves. The thoughts, words and/or deeds that cause us to feel a contraction in some way within our being, will cause us to confine and keep our creativity captive. Questions to explore the mind The topic, "Questions to begin to explore our mind" is an exercise which provides a series of questions that can be used to being to explore our beliefs and why we think the way we do. These questions are best answered and discussed with another or in a small group to compare answers. In listening and observing the responses to the questions, are there any general comments which can be made about the mind? In particular, look to see that all of our minds are different and mind only knows the past and what it has experienced. The next step
