As discussed in the "The Mystical Path," the mystical side of the author’s life remained essentially nonconscious until the experience of the Ultimate Accident began to bring it to the surface. Prior to the Ultimate Accident, it bubbled up to the surface from time to time but the events were not seen for what they really represented and it functioned only as a deep undercurrent to the author’s life. After the Ultimate Accident, it began to take on a life of its own and began to become the dominate path in the author’s life. However, it was not instantaneous. Rather it grew as a seed from the awareness of which arose in, or as a result of, the Ultimate Accident. In actually it was about fourteen years after the Ultimate Accident that the mystical path was seen for what it really was. Interesting, it took about as long as it takes a child to reach puberty and evolve into an mature human being.
