In the discussion “Origins
- About Us” it was stated: ...the evolution was trying to
figure out how to explain
the understanding that was remembered based on what was known
from exploring creativity to pursue organizational creativity.
In the discussion, “About
the Author - Overview” it was stated: In the end the author
found it necessary to recycle his life experiences within a new
light. Those experiences then become the vehicle for communicating
the understanding. All that he had ever accomplished - the
workshops, lectures and consultations on creativity - and his life
experience were become the vehicle to both (1) communicate the
awareness of how we create our experiences and the reality of those
experiences and (2) how to increase the probably of the ultimate
accident through the use of
creative play.
The discussion “The
problem of mind and the experience of the Source of Creation - the
trap of mind” addressed the one fundamental issued faced in
accessing the
source/Source of our creative power. That is, the finite nature
of our mind is our problem. It is a problem in that mind cannot, and
will not, effectively describe either an experience of the Source or
what we actually learn from that experience. It needs to be
understood what lies at the source/Source of our being and our
creative power is unlimited. The Source is infinite. But our mind is
finite and only knows what it has experienced. It cannot accurately
describe the infinite no matter how hard it tries. Yet, our mind and
the experiences we have is all we have to communicate to ourselves
and others exactly what we experienced.
Mind can only get, at best, an approximation to what lies at the
source/Source of our being. There will always be a piece
missing. This is why most of what is said about the source/Source
and our creative power is metaphoric and symbolic of something
deeper. But the more experience we have, the better our
approximations become. That is, of course, if it is they are the
correct experiences. Forty years of experience where one year is
repeated forty times is not the same as forty years of experience
where each year is different. To obtain the different types and
kinds of experience we need, we must learn to step out of mind and
what we think and believe. It is to “not do” who and what we think
we are and to become something different.
In essence, exploring the depth and breadth of our creativity is to
move our finite mind into the realm of the infinite. It is only as
we allow ourselves to move past the limits and barriers our mind
constructs and explore our creative that we being to appreciated
that
source/Source. Only as we allow ourselves to have the
experiences we need to have can we gain that
minimum set of requisite experience to understand what exactly
is experienced at the Source to be able to consciously access it and
use it. It needs to be understood that we create all the time
subconsciously and are never removed from the source/Source. All
that needs to be done, simple as it sounds, is to raise what we now
do subconsciously into our consciousness.
As the author gained the
minimum set of requisite experience he found he could more
effectively communicate how to increase the probability of have the
Ultimate Accident and consciously access the Source/source. Yet,
whatever is communicated will be based on his experiences and his
life. Your life is unique. So not all that is said will not
necessarily be applicable to your uniqueness. Somewhere you will
have to
give yourself permission to do your own explorations of your
unique creative.
There is an interesting anecdote relate to using the life
experiences of the author to communicate the information about: the
intention for our life as an undercurrent for our life, our creative
spirit, and the our inherent unlimited creativity. In particular it
points out how we do know things about our life well beyond what our
mind is capable of fully understanding and/or well before the
awareness is needed. The anecdote also identifies a technique that
can be used to help surface the intention, or fragments of the
intention, for our life. This technique has been used quite
successfully by the author. When pressed, our subconscious will
respond with an answer to any question we ask it if we are open to
what it may reveal. However, sometimes that answer does not appear
instantaneous. It is often like knowing that you know something but
can’t remember it. Then what you were seeking pops into your mind a
short while later. So we do have to become continually mindful and
aware of our thoughts if we are going to surface such information.
As discussed under the topic “It is the process not the details” in
the “Background
on the Origins,” it is the process within the details and
anecdotes about the author’s life is what is important. The story
told here could just as well be your story. There are probably
similar experiences in your life. It was no more than another
challenging the author to get to his truth about a topic. You can
use this technique in your life to surface understanding and
information that can help guide you in life. You need only to find a
way to go in and access it.
In the discussion on “An
Inherent Mystic” it was state there are things about life the
author always knew. Then there were insights and awareness that
arose and stayed much like a light that suddenly turns on. In the
illumination by the light, you can see the switch and turn off the
light. But you now know where the switch is located so you can turn
it on whenever you need it. Such an insight that is now only coming
for fruition in the writing of the origins of the Releasing Your
Unlimited Creativity material occurred over thirty years earlier
just prior being commissioned an Ensign in the US Navy.
Being educated as a physicist, he was asked to interviewed for the
Navy Nuclear Power Program. At that time, acceptance into the
program depended on a favorable interview by the Admiral presiding
over the Program, Admiral Rickover. Admiral Rickover was notorious
and infamous for his interviews. Some bordered on the bizarre. Why
he performed such interviews was never shared. Most suspect the
Admiral was looking to see how easy it was to throw the individual
off balance and outside their normal way of thinking simply to see
how they respond.
If you heard the stories that were told about the Admiral’s
interviews, you probably would say they were completely fictitious.
However, most of us knew individuals who had one of his bizarre
interviews. The Admiral’s interview got to the point that
individuals were disappointed if they didn’t get a bizarre
interview.
One habit the Admiral had was throwing people out of his office and
the forcing them to sit in an empty room to sit and reflect on their
interview and answers they gave. Usually he called them back for a
second interview. Often a commander or captain would be assigned to
coach the individual. The author was one of these individuals thrown
out of his office. Whatever the first conversation was, it ended
with Admiral Rickover throwing him out of his office demanding that
the author tell him why he wanted to be in the Admirals’ Program.
So the author was banished to an empty office with a desk and chair
to sit and reflect. It addition to sitting and reflecting a Navy
commander was assigned to coach him. The “coach” was there to
provide an event review and look for
lessons learned. The idea was to figure out what when wrong in
the interview and fix it.
After a time, the author came to the conclusion that he was here to
experience life and to teach others through those experiences. That
awareness felt very correct and the author was satisfied with that
reason. The Navy commander was not really happy with such an answer
but he seemed to understand it was what the author wanted to stand
by.
So the author went in for a second interview and told Admiral
Rickover that he wanted the Admiral’s Program to obtain the
experience and then teach others based on those experiences. In
actually the author was interested in the Navy Nuclear Power Program
since he was a child and heard of the first commercial nuclear power
reactor at Shippingport, Pennsylvania. Why the author wanted to be
in the program he couldn’t really understand but he was fascinated
by nuclear power ever since he was a child. But yet, that is not
why he want into physics. That is a different story. In any
case, the Admiral and the author talked briefly. Actually the
Admiral asked a few questions and the author answered them. The
Admiral then threw him again saying that idea of education ended
centuries ago.
So the author again ended up in the empty office with a frustrated
commander. Yet the author’s mind was made up. He knew within his
being he was here to experience life and teach others based on those
experiences. The author was now even more assured of that answer. It
was way he was here. Of course the author had no idea of exactly
what he was suppose to experience, nevertheless, it was about
experiencing something in this life. In reflecting on that answer,
the author did not know where it came from. Yet he knew it was true.
He had made up his mind. He would tell the Admiral that he had
worked for four years for the Admiral’s Program. He would say that
he told the truth and if the Admiral did not believe him, then he
didn’t want the Admiral’s program. The author’s mind was made up and
he was ready to go in. The author figured if he was rejected, he
could always go and do something else.
The commander was dismayed at the author’s decision and disappeared
from the room. The commander knew the probable outcome of such a
response to the Admiral. A little while later the commander came
running back in with a big smile and joy. He said, “I told the
Admiral we are also considering you for an instructor in the program
and the Admiral said, Okay, take him” The interview was over. Since
the Program was expanding there was a desperate need for
instructors. So, the Admiral could not pass up a warm body that
could do the job.
Yet, the author was puzzled by the awareness about teaching. The
author had no intention of spending his life teaching. He was
willing to accept the instructor position at the nuclear power
training school only because he felt that at least he could sleep in
his own bed at night and not be deployed on some ship. But, 30 years
later, he came to understand that he could only communicate how we
create our experiences and our reality by example, through his life
experiences and creating with others.
On this note, the author had another awareness about his life that
always seemed to be with him. It was that his life would be an open
book. Whatever he did in life, he would have to expect it to be made
public. Working with classified material in the government always
troubled him relative to this knowing. He knew his life would be an
open book so he could not understand how he could be working with
classified material and yet have an open life. Time resolved the
problem. Much of what he handled as classified has long since been
available to the general public if you know where to look for it.
Exactly why his life would be an open book he never understood until
he tried to communicate the understanding about the intention for
our life. Then it became clear how important his own life
experiences would be. So you will find much of what has been
described on the web site has come through the personal experiences
of the author or others in his life. You may not agree with it but
it is his truth and his experience.
