A summary and overview of the process of how we can come to understand how we create from a infinite sea of energy consciousness and the observer - observed pair is provided in a series of eight observation. Or, we can see these eight observations eight levels to understanding as to how our understanding of Creation unfolds. These eight observations each give some insight and a perspective for interpreting statements made by mystics about how they see Creation working. First observation - A fish in water The first observation is a traditional mystical way that many mystical teachers try and explain the nature of Creation and what many individuals are seeking in their life as that beloved/Beloved. That is, as seen in the Figure "A fish in the water look for the water" we are like a fish looking for water. In talking about oneness and the closeness of each of us are with the Creator the mystics tend to make some type and kind of statement equivalent to "I am a fish in the water looking for the water." In the same way a fish is in the water within a sea, we see ourselves as a body in air on a piece of ground yet we fail to see how we are connected with that around us. In oneness we know that all emanates from the same Source and we and the Source are somehow one. But we seem so different. Our mind cannot understand how this is possible. The question arises what is wrong with the image of a fish in water that does not lead to the desired full understanding? The primary issue is the fish and water are made of different materials. The water is water and the fish, although mostly water, is organic. The fish is seemingly so different than the water in which it finds itself. So too each of us. We seem to be so different than other aspects of Creation we cannot possible see how we live in oneness with Creation, the Creator and the Source of Creation. The way that most explain this issue of the fish being so different than the water gives rise to the concept that a human being is composed of two parts - a physical body and a spiritual soul which come together to form a human being. In this understanding, we have a physical part, our body, which is "sort of like" Physical Creation. That is, our body is made up from Physical Creation and is composed of the same elements and atoms that make up Physical Creation. We eat food, drink water and breath air such that we have physical evidence of being connected to Physical Creation. Although we see ourselves separate from. Physical Creation as a separate and individual human being, our body is never the intimately connected with Physical Creation. So, from this perspective, we can sort of see how our physical body is one with Physical Creation. But it is clear a human being is something more than a physical body. There is something which give life to the body that leaves when the body dies. There are also experiences that individuals have with the body that give rise to an awareness that there is some type and kind of unseen realms that exists outside of Physical Creation. For example the nonphysical experiences of mystics and shamans or their ability to see through time and space. Addition, when people seemingly die and return to life such as in a near death experience, they report realms of Creation beyond the physical. The tradition way these issue have been addressed is through the traditional concept of the spirit as the part of our being that transcend Physical Creation and the spiritual or unseen realms of Creation. These realms also include Heaven and Hell. Although some believe the spirit existed before the body came into existence, others believe the spirit came into existence when the body was conceived in the womb or when born. In any case many see the spirit as that part of us which is connected and somehow interconnected with the unseen and spiritual realms analogous to the way our body eats, drinks and breathes relative to Physical Creation. The two, body and soul, together allow our mind to understand how we are separate yet somehow interconnected with all of creation. Yet, there is still the issue of oneness and how we are one with Creation. Second Observation - Ice in Water The second observation is to go to a move to a different perception about Creation and use a different analogy about ourselves and Creation. It is to accept the fact that although our mind see us as different from many aspects of Physical Creation and the unseen realms, we nevertheless are somehow one with Creation and the Source of Creation. Here many are faced with the traditional concept of "faith." It is to believe and "have faith," or trust, that there is something the mind cannot understand as to how we are one with Creation and Source but yet separate. The first step into this new perspective is see ourselves more as an ice cube or iceberg in the water as diagramed in the Figure "Ice in Water" rather than a fist in the water, As ice in water, the ice is the exact same material as the water. The ice water analogy is a very powerful image from a variety of views. The most of important of which is the ice cube and the water are the same material just different forms and lead to the iceberg analogy of consciousness where most of our consciousness is "sub" conscious and lies below the level of consciousness. What is different about the ice is that is has less energy than the water and the water molecules are fixed into a lattice or crystal structure rather than being free to move as the water. Additionally the ice is separate from the water as a specific definable quantity of water with defined boundaries and limits. The analogy is nice in that water and ice are exactly the same material but only different in energy. There are defined boundaries to the ice but yet the ice is never removed from the water. If we look to the deepest levels of what it means to be Physical, we find our body is composed of atoms. Atoms are made of protons, neutrons and electrons. In this regard, our body is exactly the same material as any other aspect of Physical Creation. All that is different is the arrangement of the protons, neutrons and electrons and that arrangement is in a defined form, our body, with clear boundaries. Relative to the unseen realms the traditional concept of spirit essentially assumes the material of our soul or spirit is the same as that of any other spiritual entity much like the body is composed of electrons, protons and neutrons of Physical Creation. Similarly, it is assume the spirit has analogously defined limits and boundaries like the body which separate from other nonphysical beings. Many mystical and shamanic experiences can be explained within this understanding. However, there is another deeper perspective that is even more powerful in its implications and the understanding it can provide and it is reflected in the third observation. Third observation - A ripple in Creation The third observation which can be made encompasses that of the second observation but goes several steps further. Rather than seeing oneself as that analogous ice cube it is to look beyond the form and into the energy. The third observation is "I am a ripple, a disturbance, in the fabric of Creation." In this observation it is to realize all that differs between the water and the ice cube is energy. But it is to realize neutrons, protons and electrons are just a form of energy and all Physical Creation is nothing but energy in the form of mass. It is to realize there is unseen energy, such as electromagnetic radiation, permeating all of Creation, always present but unseen to the human eye except for the electromagnetic energy of light. Analogously, in what a note is to music and the air in which it sounds, we are to Creation. A note is simply the propagation of a disturbance in air. It is simply energy being transferred through the medium of air as a pressure wave. Similarly, we are disturbance or discontinuity in the Fabric of Creation or that "no-thing-ness" out of which Creation arises. This gives rise to the mystical concept, the "music of the spheres. Analogously, it is same way music is made. Think of a symphony or an orchestra the sound of an orchestra is the superposition of the sounds and notes made by each instrument making a disturbance in the air. Creation is similarly the superposition of all the "disturbances" in the fabric of Creation. In this view everything can be superimposed on everything else yet everything is still separate and distinct just as the sound emanating from an orchestra. The composite of reality is the sum total of all the individual disturbances. In listening carefully to the sound of an orchestra much the way the conductor of the orchestra does, one can hear both the individual parts and the total melody depending on how we focus. However, in looking at this analogy as good as it is, there are things which do not seem to be addressed. Although all Creation arises out of the same material of Creation described mystically as a place of "no-thing-ness," there is no real explanation as to how and/or why there seems to be such a separation within Creation. Fourth observation - Layers to Creation In standing part from what we experience as that detached witness to look at the concept we are a disturbance in the Fabric of Creation and see how it works, we will come to be aware of the existence of layers to creation. The layer are much as discussed in the topics "Layers to beliefs" and "Planes of Existence," "Layers of the mind." We will come to see there are "stories" behind the "story" It as if we can stand apart from Physical Creation as diagramed in the Figure "Layers to Creation." Fifth observation - A witness to Creation In standing apart from Creation to see the various layers of Creation one will come to see they are a witness to Creation and diagramed in the Figure "A witness to Creation." The view is also gives rise to the observer and the observed pair. But then there is the question who is the observer and who is the observed. As a witness to Creation and in becoming aware of the layers to creation, the individual can realize they are not separate from these layers. The come to see what they observe is based on how they choose to observer. At one level it is much like how we construct experiments to observe in a particular way to observer phenomenon that we normally do not see as physicist would construct an experiment in the laboratory. At another level it is like the how the observer influences what they are observing as in quantum mechanics. In becoming a detached witness and see one is a witness to Creation one begins to say, "I am not separate from the Creation I experience." Here the detached witness becomes aware of how they are choosing to observe Sixth observation - The Creator of Creation In becoming aware of how one chooses to observe they determine what is observed, it is a small step to realize the Creator and the observer are one. What we see and experience is determine by how we choose to observe. Here the observers who has become the detached witness realized they are the Creator of the Creation they are observing and experiencing at each and every level as diagramed in the Figure "Creator of Creation." They realize "I am the creator of the experiences I have by how I choose to view the experience," "I am the both the creator and the creation," and "I am the "stuff" of Creation and I cause the disturbance in the "stuff" that I experience as the Creation." This is the essence of Oneness. Seventh Observation - I and the Creator our one The seventh observation is what appears to be a small next step. It is to move past the realization that "I am the creator of the experiences I have by how I choose to view the experience" to the realization, "I am the creator of the Creation I experience. I am the creator of the experiences I have, I and the creation are one." It is to see that we are the creator experiencing its creation. Here there is the realization there is no difference between the Creator looking from outside the Creation at Creation or from inside the Creation looking out. Both are the same. It is only the perspective that we have which is different The realization of the fact "I and the Creator are one" is at one level the realization that the traditional "God within." Hew see we are Creator simply experiencing its Creation as in the Figure, "Creator experiencing its Creation." However it is an intellectual knowing until backed with the experience of this fact. Our mind it what has difficulty comprehending the true reality of this understanding for it is finite trying to comprehend an infinite concept. Only in stepping out of mind is the realization and conscious experience of this understanding is possible. It is to step out of mind to become a creator and recreate our life if not our world. It is to look crazy to, and in, the eyes of the world to step out with such consciousness intentions. But it is to step into the realm of what has traditionally been called the mystic and shaman but both concept of the mystic and the shaman do not do justice to the experience of this realm of being for one become a conscious creator of their experience. It is about having the ultimate mystical experience and acting on that understanding to recreate our life. The eight observation - Coming full circle The eight observation, as reflected in the Figure, "Full circle of awareness," we see ourselves as that fish in water immersed in our Creation. When we realize that "I and the Creator are one?" we find ourselves viewing Creation from within our Creation and seem to have come full circle. There is an ancient saying: Before enlightenment - chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment - chop wood, carry water." At one level of being that is true. Everything seems to be the same. It is we just have a different level of awareness. However, at another level everything is totally different. We know that we are the creator of what we experience no matter how illogical it appears to our mind and we can only go inward and explore what we have to change to change the external world you experience. To an outside observer, the two views look the same. But they are like night and day. In this realization we will have a fullness of being and we will see through the shallow surface story and perceive the deeper undercurrents of reality.
