Self programming is a very useful technique if we desire to manifest an intention that we know will requires us to transform our life and become the proverbial Phoenix. That is, that mythical bird that intentionally destroys itself in a fire of its own making to rise from the ashes born anew. This technique is based on realigning our subconscious programming with our conscious intention. In this technique we work at the subconscious level to change our belief and then allow our creative life energy to flow into our new belief structure causing it to change how we perceive and respond to the world. The key in this method is to allow ourselves listen to ourselves and is based on the principle that we believe what we tell ourselves.

To use this method, you will need to write out a very clear intention for how you wish to transform. You then record your intention over and over again in your voice on a tape. If you wish, you can have the music of your choice in the background or simply record your voice on a tape and add the music later.

When you go to sleep, allow the tape to play and focus your attention and awareness on the words that you hear as you allow yourself to drift off to sleep. The tape will continue to play and should span that whole twilight period between being awake and asleep. As you hear your intention in your own words they will go into your memory as though your are thinking and speaking those words to yourself. As such what you are saying to yourself gets integrated into all of your subconscious programing just as though you were thinking and actively changing your thinking.

Because this is done as you drift off to sleep, it continues to work on that part of your being that remains awake. Although this sounds like an attempt to learn while asleep it is something different. It is you talking to yourself and you are not learning nothing new. Rather you are reinforcing what you have already written and believe about yourself. You are only immersing yourself in your own thinking with your own voice. In essence you immerse yourself in yourself.

This process is not subliminal programing as such but closely related to it. Rather it is a similar that many religions use when a person dies or is about to die. Prayers are recited over the person who is or had died to guide their consciousness through the unseen world. It is based on the awareness that a part of you is always aware and will assimilate what it experiences. The difference in this technique is that you guide yourself thought one of your mini deaths (going to sleep) through your unseen world of beliefs to help you create what you desire.

What happens in this process is that the intention that you have written and repeat to yourself gets integrated into your subconscious beliefs. It needs to be realized we are a creative living process and every experience you have gets integrated into your being. The beliefs you hold intern, influence what you feel, what you think, and how you intuitively and subconsciously response to events in your life that you experience while awake. In many ways it can be said you are hypnotizing yourself to become somebody different. You are putting yourself to sleep through the natural body process and planting suggestions as to how you should act and become.

In actuality, this process is what we do all the time. We allow our consciousness to be come unaware and go to sleep to be born into the world to have a physical experience. Then we believe what we are told about ourselves and our life while our consciousness is still asleep in the early years of life. This is what enlightenment, awakening, and awareness is all about. That is, it is to awaken to who and what we really are and break out of the programming that we have come to believe about ourselves. What needs to be understood is that process is exactly the process of how Consciousness creates the experiences of Creation. It programs itself for a set of experiences and then allows itself to go to sleep. Upon awakening It believes what it has programmed itself to believe and until it awakens to Its own programming it continues to according to the programming it believes. In this process your are simply changing your own programming.

When you use this method, you have to be very careful about the words that you use. For one thing, you need to use all present tense words. Although you are not transformed yet, let yourself hear your words as if you already are that being. You need to ensure you understand what all the words mean and the implication of the word. To use a phrase like word like “I am unconditional love” will cause you to experience things that you never thought possible because all the love that you experienced in life for others is conditional love. To face what unconditional love looks like when you have never experienced in your life will be quite a surprise.

Similarly, when you try and create yourself in accordance with any word, you may not know the implications of those words that you hold in your subconscious until you experience them. You may find you may not like what you have created. So you need to become very aware of the types and kinds of experiences you start having in your life after you have utilized this technique. If you do not like what you are experiencing, you can always change it. You are not locked into anything unless you choose to be locked into it.
