Consciousness within the energy consciousness perspective Within the energy consciousness perspective, consciousness is a property of energy or energy is a property of consciousness. Consciousness can be seen as a flow of energy which has awaken to the awareness of existing. It is experienced as the awareness of itself and/or it surrounding. Without the movement in the flow of energy there is nothing to observe and there is nothing of which to become aware. As energy, energy consciousness essentially functions the same way as the energy and mass we experience every day. It exists in three forms (1) energy in motion or the energy is flowing into a new form or arrangement; (2) stored energy or energy in a form that readily capable of moving into flow with minimal effort; and (3) mass or energy "frozen" or solidified into a fixed arrangement. For the most part, mass and energy remain separate phenomenon and are perceived as separate phenomenon. However under particular conditions, one can be converted to the other and under different condition one can be perceived and act like the other. Consciousness also exists in three analogous forms. The three forms of consciousness can best be described as (1) conscious consciousness, (2) nonconscious consciousness and (3) dormant consciousness. Conscious consciousness consists of those aspects of which consciousness is aware and is analogous to the energy in motion and it is the aspect of consciousness that is responsible for causing or directing the flow of energy into form. Nonconscious consciousness are those aspects consciousness of which consciousness is unaware but readily govern its creation and are "relatively" easy to surface. It is that aspect of consciousness that can readily be made conscious. Dormant consciousness reflects those aspects deep within the nonconscious of consciousness that are extremely difficult to surface. It is analogous to mass and very difficult to make consciousness but under the appropriate conditions it is readily transformed. This third type of consciousness is called dormant consciousness since it is like a tree that goes dormant in winter. Although it seems to have no life, as soon as the conditions are correct, it awakens. While the consciousness is dormant, there is little it can do until it reawakens. For all practical matters, you can consider the dormant consciousness as the very deep nonconscious and that is difficult to access and awaken except under special conditions. Additional discussion and analogies on dormant consciousness if found in the topic, "Dormant consciousness " In talking about the equivalence of energy and consciousness or as consciousness being a property of energy or energy being a property of consciousness, we need to remember, at the most fundamentals levels of Creation, Creation does not work as our mind normally perceives it to work. Only when we step out of our normal way of perceiving Creation do we come to see how we choose to observe affects what we observe and that there are phenomena inherent to Creation we do not normally see. Albert Einstein was one of the many individual who provided revealing insights as to how Creation at the most fundamental levels does not work as our mind thinks. Four of these phenomena describe by him are directly applicable to viewing consciousness with a different perspective and more in line with the energy consciousness perspective. The application of his insights to consciousness are discussed in the topic, "A Different Application of Einstein’s Assumptions." Consciousness can be experienced as being awake and aware or asleep and unaware. Consciousness can said to be conscious, nonconscious or dormant. That which is conscious refers to that of which we are awake and aware. That which is nonconscious is that can be relatively easily awaken. That which is dormant is not readily awakened and only awakens under particular conditions much like the way a tree goes dormant in winter and awakes in spring. As a human being that which is nonconscious can be further experienced as subconscious and unconscious. That which is subconscious is usually easily and very readily retrievable from memory where as that which is unconscious is more difficult. In talking about the awareness which awakens and what it remembers it is appropriate to talk about mind. Our mind is actually a property or facet of consciousness. Mind is simply the collection of the experiences we have had and how and what we remember or chooses to remember are assembled into a nonconscious and conscious belief structure as to how and what we have come to think and believe. Since we are always experiencing something new, mind is a creative living process continually changing itself. Depending on what we experience and how and what we think and believe about what we experience, we are either reinforcing and solidifying the beliefs we have or we are changing remolding and creating a new belief structure and different perspective about ourselves and Creation. How the mind of consciousness perceives energy Mind and the symbolism of the head Relative to the subconscious and unconscious, a crude and very general demarcation line is to say that which is subconscious relates to memories and experiences of our current life and/or the enculturated mind. Subconscious memories can be expected to be accompanied with images. That which is unconscious are memories and experiences which relate to experiences before this life and which lies in the collective consciousness. The intention for our life and the reason for the particular body we have lie in the unconscious. That which arises from the unconscious mind will often be more of a feeling than with images. The reason for this is that our current mind may not have the necessary minimum set of experience to properly characterized these memories. Or, the memories by have bizarre or strange aspects to them because the current mind is trying to fit what it knows to describe an energy which we can feel but which mind does not know. Nocturnal dreams tend to into this category of mind being unable to properly and effectively characterize the energy we are perceiving. However, if we learn to access our transcendental mind, we also access the experience base to better characterize experience prior to our current life. Dormant consciousness and levels to our awareness The awareness which can awaken is independent of the particular flow of energy in which it awakens. But, how it awakens and what it understands about itself depends on the flow of energy and the environment in which it awakens. Here it is very important to note that the awareness which perceive its existence is not the mind. But, as a result of how the awareness which awakens perceives the experience it has when it awakens, it comes to believe it is the mind and identifies itself with the experiences mind has had. This occurs both at the level of current mind and the transcendental mind. The first step in the decoupling of the mind and the awareness which appears to reside in the mind is to become a detached witness from the experience we are having. Then we need to step back from our experience to see our experience within the larger unfolding process. We are all part of something larger and is really happening in our life is more like the story a bee tells of is life and what it really does in life. That it, the bee thinks it is only gathering nectar for honey went it is also pollinating the plant. However, even if we decouple from our current mind and our enculturated mind as a detached witness, we also must decouple from our transcendental mind before we can come to understand the true essence and nature of the awareness with lies with mind. Our awareness is the essence of our creativity simply as a result of the fact of how awareness allows itself to be defined by identifying with the mind. The more we detach from the mind as a detached witness the more creative ability and creative power we have available to us. Mind is what keeps us from understanding the awareness of mind, experiencing the infinity of our being and the awareness we have, and being in the moment at that point of creative power. Our awareness is not limited nor bound by either the body or the mind. Our awareness has only localized itself within our mind and body by our choice to have the experience of a human being in Physical Creation for whatever reason we may have. With the proper focus of our attention and awareness through how and what we think and believe we can localize our awareness in any aspect of the seen and unseen Creation. We need to understand the role of consciousness in the cause effect relationship of a flow of energy is to become the cause. The awareness which we experience as consciousness has the ability to change and/or redirect the flow of energy which gives rise to our existence by the choices it does or doesn’t make. In doing so, it changes what it experiences. In addition by how consciousness focuses it attention and awareness is can create a new flow of energy where not previously existed by the intention it holds and desire and action it takes to manifest that intention. Additionally, by how and what we choose to think and believe we can place our awareness into any aspect of Creation, copy and/or mimic any aspect, see through the eyes of any other, or become totally true to the truth of our being and uniqueness that we are. Since how we focus our attention and awareness to achieve any of this is ultimately based on the experiences we have had, consciousness is a creative living process continually redefining itself and what it experiences by the experience it has. We choose how we will redefine ourselves by how and what we think and believe. We can choose to continually recreate ourselves in the image of the past and what we have experienced or we can choose to be open to new experiences and allow ourselves to expand beyond any limits and barriers we have imposed on ourselves in this or any other life in any realm of Creation. Here it needs to be emphasized, mind only knows the past and that it has experienced. It cannot and will not do an effective job at leading us in a truly creative endeavor. Since any truly creative endeavor takes us into an experience not previously had, mind does not have the experiences which can properly characterize the flow of energy we feel which give rise to the creative endeavor nor the experience when it is had. All mind can really do is surrender at each and every level of mind to the flow and not step in directing the flow to anything other than what is desired. Mind will be handicapped in any creative endeavor for all it knows it the past. The fact that mind only knows the past becomes very important when consciousness awakens. When consciousness awakens, it defines itself based on the experiences it has had and what it remembers about those experiences and how those remembered experiences match the environment in which it is awakening. This is why our current mind is usually what is used to characterize what we experience. The memories of our current mind are the most readily retrieval and usually used memories when compared to the memories of the transcendental mind. In any case, what mind uses to characterize what we experience, when there is a close match between what we experienced, what we remember and the environment in which we awaken, we never see ourselves not fitting in or being out of time and place. However, if we awaken in a environment which does not fit what our experiences and/or what we remember, we will perceive ourselves to be out of time and place and may simply experience confusions. The more we can recall past similar experiences, the more we can dispel the confusion. The less we can recall, the greater our confusion will become. This is one reason why memories of experiences before this life are so easily discarded. They simply do not fit the environment current mind understands. However, when we put ourselves in the proper environment, we can easily recall our past experiences. Ancient mystics talk about Creation arising our of a place of "no-thing-ness." From a physics perspective, there are two ways to experience something from nothing. One is the cutout and a hole as discussed in the topic, "Implication of the pair production in our creative endeavors." The other is to create a discontinuity or separation of some type to create a reference. The discontinuity is which allows for a creation to be experienced. In many ways experiencing a discontinuity is like an ice cube in water or ice forming on the top of the water as the temperature drops. The ice is the same as the water in which it floats. However, the temperature difference of the ice provides a discontinuity for the ice to be experienced as separate from, and different from, the water. Similarly, the ocean has currents. The current within the ocean which makes the current stand apart from the surrounding water. Yet, that current is just as much the ocean and the water in which it flows. A flow of energy within the energy consciousness fabric of Creation is experienced as a discontinuity. The discontinuity is experienced as our consciousness awakening and becoming aware. In awakening and becoming aware, we perceive the "I" which awakens as separate from it surroundings. The awakening to the "I" or "I exist" also gives rise to that which is reflected in the "‘I" and "not I" duality. Without the discontinuity analogous to the discontinuity between the ice and the water or the current and the ocean through which the current flows, we could never experience Creation. It is here we really find the beauty and magic in the Creation Story for the Creativity Perspective. It is said the consciousness within, or behind, Creation, shatter itself through the illusion of mind into an infinite number of points of consciousness each an unique aspect of itself. It is the fact that each of these points of consciousness are in some way unique that provides the discontinuity for creation/Creation to unfold. What this means is that any point of consciousness will see each and every other point of consciousness or energy within creation as separate from itself. Yet each point can expand to experience all of creation. The reason for this is every point of consciousness outside of itself is uniquely different in some way no matter how small it is. That difference is all that is needed for the experience of "I am this" and "I am not that." Experiencing consciousness It is to be noted there are two ways to experience the consciousness aspects of creation/Creation. The first way is the way we normally experience the consciousness of energy consciousness and it is to live in a duality and separation. When we view from the perspective of consciousness, we see ourselves separate from every other object in Creation and experience the creative tension inherent in the creative spirit or our heart as a deep inner longing for something outside ourselves to complete us and make us whole. We see ourselves to be what our mind thinks about who and what we are. We do not see ourselves independent from our mind which is continually changing by each and every experience we have. There is nothing wrong with this perspective if we understand it is just part of the creative process to experience our desired creation. However, if we try and avoid, numb, suppress or otherwise not explore the pain we feel in separation and which arises in the form of that deep inner longing, we will never find an inner satisfaction in life. We experience ourselves as being at the mercy of unseen forces and those in our external world. Very often we develop a victim consciousness. However, if we explore the pain of separation and the deep inner longing, we can come to see creation/Creation for what it is and the ultimate pain we face is simply the creator/Creator looking to share its/Its creation/Creation. In this realization we can learn to dance in the wonderment and "ah" of creation/Creation. There is an alternative way to life if we so choose to live it.
