Surrender in the creative process
What does surrender look like
Creating through surrender
Options for surrender

Surrender in the creative/creation process is about surrendering to the flow of energy giving rise to a creation. There is only one way to surrender to a flow of energy but it can be experienced two ways and there at least five primary flows of energy to which one can surrender in any one moment.

What does surrender look like (Top)

Surrender to a flow of energy is about feeling and using our internal compass and our intuitive guidance. Each thought we have is the characterization by our mind based on its past experiences of a flow of energy which we perceive. As such, each thought has a feel is we are open to what we feel. Some thoughts have a greater or stronger feeling than others. A strong feeling is not necessarily because there is a stronger energy associated with the feelings. Rather, sometimes we are just more open or sensitive to feeling that energy. At other times, some thoughts seem to have no feelings at all. Nevertheless we are sensing the energy giving rise to the thought so we are feeling the energy within the thought whether we realize it or not.

The way we surrender to feelings is to first have a calibrated internal compass. We can calibrate our internal compass by the method proposed in the Releasing Your Unlimited Creativity material or simply be aware of what feelings serve us and those that don’t. All we really need to use our internal compass is to know that we can feel different feelings and have some clear idea of what those feelings mean such and we are able to clearly discern one feeling from another.

Surrendering to a flow of energy is to set a clear intention for what wish to do or create and hold that intention as a single point focus. That is, our intention becomes the primary focus for our attention and awareness. In holding that intention we become aware of any feelings associated with that intention and/or what is we desire to feel such that we hold that intention. We then allow those feelings and that intention to guide our life. It guides our life two ways which give rise to two ways to pursue a creative endeavor. One through feeling and the feminine way to create. The other through our thinking and the masculine way to create. Or there is a third way to create best described as a dance and creating through surrender.

Creating through surrender (Top)

Creating through surrender has a thinking and feeling part.

Relative to what you feel, we navigate from the heart and use that particular feeling as our compass point. We then look at every decision we make and the experience which arise in our life and look to see if they are moving us toward or away from that feeling. We then choose to make as many decisions as possible in the direction of that feeling. We also look to move toward those experiences that move us into that direction. Here we have to trust that even if we move into experiences that are not something mind likes that we are moving in the direction we need to travel.

Relative to what we think, we ask our intuitive guidance what we need to do to manifest the intention we hold. Then honor the intuitive guidance we get. Here we need to understand that the intuitive guidance we get may not be the correct image but the direction we need to travel is correct.

It needs to be remembered that mind characterizes what it experiences by the past. We are trying to create something we have not yet experience. Mind does not have the necessary minimum set of requisite experiences to guide us. How it characterizes the energy it perceives as the correct direction may be in error but the direction of travel it represents is correct and we must move in that direction if we are going to create what we desire.

Options for surrender (Top)

Our creative life energy goes where we focus our attention and awareness. We have a free will and we are free to focus our attention and awareness wherever we choose. The question is what flow of energy best serves what you desire to experience in life.

Key to surrendering is to know exactly to what we need to surrender. It is not about doing what mind thinks it needs to do or follow. Rather it is about following a particular feeling that is unique to the creation we desire to manifest. To do this we need to be able to discern what we feel and learn to single out and align with, and follow, a unique feeling competing with everything else we feel.

In any one moment, there are five primary flows of energy to which you can surrender that are influencing our life. They are (1) the intention for our life, (2) the flow of Creation, (3) the flow of society, (4) the flow our enculturated mind, (5) the flow of the desire of our mind. Of course there are other flows of energy that are variations of these five or a subpart.

What does need to be noted here that slightly changing our focus of attention and aware will align with a different flow of energy. For example, in focusing on Creation, we need to focus on Creation overall. If the focus on a forest of even a single tree as representative of creation we will align with the flow of energy giving rise to the forest or the single tree rather than Creation. It is very important to become very mindful and aware of exactly where, how and why we are focusing our attention and awareness.

Aligning with the intention for our life is done through the feeling of the fullness of being and/our fullness of life. The approach used to calibrate our internal compass uses the intention for our life as the calibration point.

Aligning with any other flow of energy is done exactly the same way. We just adjust the focus of our attention and awareness.

To align with the flow of Creation, we simply needs to focus our attention and awareness on Creation. We then look to see what feeling it causes to arise within our being and use that as our compass point. Additionally we can ask our mind, “What do I need to do to align with the flow of Creation?” Then follow the intuitive guidance we get.

To align with the flow of society, we simply needs to focus our attention and awareness on our society overall. We then look to see what feeling it causes to arise within our being and use that as our compass point. Additionally we can ask our mind, “What do I need to do to align with the flow of my society?” Then follow the intuitive guidance we get.

To align with the flow of our enculturated mind, we simply needs to focus our attention and awareness on what we think and believe about ourselves and our world. We then look to see what feeling it causes to arise within our being and use that as our compass point. Additionally we can ask our mind, “What do I need to do to align with the flow of my enculturated mind?” Then follow the intuitive guidance we get.

To align with the flow of our the desire of our mind, we simply needs to focus our attention and awareness on what “I” wants. We then look to see what feeling it causes to arise within our being and use that as our compass point. Additionally we can ask our mind, “What do I need to do to align with the flow for what I want?” Then follow the intuitive guidance we get.
