Dream time is about how we dream reality into creation or rather, we create creation/Creation through our dreams. The Aborigines of Australia are said to believe they live in dream time and live the dreams of their ancestors. For those Aborigines who still continue to subscribe to this belief, they seem to be known for honoring their past and they are careful not to change the ways of the past. They honor the creative living process that flows within their being and listen to its guidance. They "know" what to do when they need to do it and they listen to what is provided.

To an individual who lives from the mind and how they have come to understand how they think the world works, this way of living does not appear logical or as satisfying as the modern conveniences that can be provided by using the mind. Mind tells us there are other things to do in life. However, we do live in dream time, we do live the dreams of our ancestors, and we do dream reality into creation whether we realize it or not.

Reality molds itself to what we think. That which we hold dearly and dream about, long for and/or hold sacred, no matter how impossible one feels one dream is, or how far removed they are from that which is sacred, is a focus of our attention and awareness and that focus is directing our creative life energy into its fulfillment. What we need to come to realize is that much of what we think, dream about and long for, is not of our making and our choice but of something with which our care givers, our society or Creation itself has impregnated into us. We will always dream and long for something even is it is the quite mind of the mystics. It is only when we understand why we long and dream for what we do and why we do it that we begin to become the creator of our experiences and the creator of our reality. Until then, we live the dream that has been given to us by our ancestors as embedded within the traditions which we live. The main difference between most individuals and the Aborigines is the Aborigines are aware of the dreams which they live and the are aware of living in dream time and the dream requires of them. Most others are not.

To understand how we are creating our current reality and what needs to be done to change the reality we are experiencing, we will need to become aware of the dreams we carry. In doing so, we then need to understand if we really wish to manifest those dreams and what are the implications for our life and those in our life.

Dreaming reality

Initially there is the recognition of the dream and gestation of the dream followed by it birth. In many ways dreams can act as a seed in that a seed can lie dormant until conditions are correct for its germination. We can hold a dream, savoring everything about it knowing that the time is not right for the dream to manifest. Dreams can be held for centuries and passed on to others. Then at some moment, we know the dream is fully possible and chose to make it happen. However, to manifest any dream, we must first recognize we have the seed and then it must be placed in an environment in which it can grow.

The Aborigines of Australia believed their ancestors dreamed reality into existence. Is that not the same as holding an intention until it manifests?. Is this not the same as holding a dream until it becomes reality? Is not an intention a form of a dream? Is not any thought a form of a dream?

In living in the present moment, there is no past and no future. All the energy of our consciousness is available in that moment to create what ever we choose. Each and every moment is a moment of creation. The point of creative power is the present moment. In each moment we can choose to hold onto and manifest the thought we hold or let it go. Our awaken consciousness is reflective of the energy that we have to use in our creation. Our awaken consciousness is representative of the portion of our flow of energy that we have chosen to direct and bring into form.

In living in the moment, there is no fear for we cannot fear the unknown. We cannot fear that which we do not know or have not yet experienced for we have no basis to evolve a fear. Fear is only of the past. Fear, the fear we fear, is the residual memory of a past experience whether in this current life or another existence for example a past life existence or its equivalent in some other realm. As such, fear is of that which has pasted. By holding to a fear it both recreates and holds the past and also pumps energy into creating that fear allowing it to manifest in the future since we are only projecting the past. In any case fear is a thought in the mind and being a thought in the mind, it diverts useful creative life energy into non useful manifesting.

Our reality external to us or internal to us is a resultant of the overall process that is occurring and represents the summation of all on which we hold in our nonconscious and conscious mind in the same analogous way we hear the total sound of an orchestra. It the same way it takes awareness of the existence of the individual instruments before one can focus their effort and attention to be able to hear and distinguish any one part or instrument, the same is true for our consciousness. It take awareness of the existence of the parts. We need to be aware of the existence, or at least the potential existence, of the parts before we can look for them. Fear depletes our energy because it causes our focus and hence our energy to be directed away from what we desire to manifest and hence we feel frustrated and incapable of creating our individual reality. But it is only our fears, our memories and our beliefs that is taking the energy of future manifesting away from the present.

By realizing the existence of these parts, we can face our fear and remove that part of the resultant expression of reality exposed by the fear and hence change our reality. Each fear faced causes a part of the past to be released and that energy is then available to be used to recreate the reality of our choice. It is also why the warrior analogy is so often used in spiritual traditions. The warrior faces the fear of battle and the fear of death in each battle. So too with each fear we face - do we die and succumb to the fear or defeat the fear and transcend it releasing its energy to be born again in a new creation. So too with our memories and our individual beliefs. They too can be released freeing the energy they hold.

In living in the present moment, all of our energy reflected in the level of our awaken consciousness, is potentially available in that moment for recreation and is available to be placed into any creative thought of our choice. We can view reality from any view that we choose. Each moment is like the plucking of the sting of a guitar that produces a sound. We are free to change the note we pluck each instant. Each instant the thought we have is sent into the universe like the way the sound of a guitar is sent into the atmosphere each time the string is plucked. In any instant in time we have the ability to direct our energy into anything that we can think.

Our individual thoughts are representative of our awaken energy consciousness coming or being translated into form. We can choose to finance the past by holding to thoughts that were and we have already experienced or we can choose to create completely new again. The universe tries desperately to get us to release and forget but we hold on to the memories that store the fears or expectations that divert the energy and then forget we hold on to them. To be completely asleep we are not aware enough to hold memories and we forget everything. To be completely awake is to effectively be capable of remembering everything but we hold nothing so we too forget everything. It is why the awaken state and sleep state can be confused and seen as similar. Each in their own way is a state of innocence, of experiencing reality with no preconceived notions of what it will look like in its unfolding. In awareness, we act in the moment in the way we need to act because it is correct to act in the moment and leave the results to destiny.

The more awareness we put in a thought, the more energy that goes into it. The more frequently we think a thought, the more energy that goes into manifesting that thought. The more emotions behind a thought, the more energy that goes into bringing that thought into form. Sufficient emotion, with sufficient form, with sufficient awareness of consciousness will allow us to create anything.

Habits are just a vehicle we use to channel and "put on automatic" our creative process because the habit directs the energy for the time period we are performing the habit. The more conscious we are when we perform our habit, the more energy that is directed into the intention behind the habit. The habit is not unlike the banks of a river directing the flow of the river rather than allowing the river to flow broadly over the surrounding plains dissipating the energy in the river that otherwise would be available as a focused energy. One can dam a river and further direct and focus that energy and make electricity or grind wheat with a water wheel, but we can’t make that electricity or grind that wheat with a broad flowing river not flowing between any banks. The energy is too dissipated.

On this note, the reproductive processes of life on the physical plane, whether with it be sexual reproduction producing a baby or the seed of a plant and the non-sexual reproduction, are representative of the kinds and types of "hard wired" or solidified sets of consciousness that function as an ingrained "habit" or "clear cut path through the forest" that takes a minimum of energy to make it happen. Once the process is initiated, the energy of the process itself and the pre-programmed consciousness runs on automatic, for example, in the human case, nine months to produce an off spring in physical form once the process is started. It is not unlike going down a high water slide or sliding board. Once we climb to the top and put in that initial starting energy, the process is channeled in a preset way to completion and the speed tends to be so swift it is hard to stop it although it can be done. There are many such process in life, we only need to recognize them and work with them.

Our memories work in a parallel type fashion. In some way, they are like mini-habits. Habits of a way of thinking about reality that cause us to live our life in a particular way. They direct our energy toward particular outcomes. If there is any memory (whether the memory is judged positive or negative) or an expectation, some energy is being diverted from the moment into sustaining the past or hold to an expectation of the future based on the past. The memory is only represented of the energy that is being diverted.

We can only be in the moment by holding no memory of a past or a future expectation based on past. To be in the moment one can only just be with that which is. It is why we need to be come fully aware is to live fully in the moment. This is not to say we have no memory. Nothing is forgotten. What is said is that we hold to no memories. At any instant we can choose to hold or release any and all memory if we are aware of such capability.

Increased awareness increases the amount of memory we are capable of consciously holding or releasing. All thought, all that has ever happened or will happen is either present and has been unfolded, and has been, or it will be unfolded from within the way the energy of the thoughts are currently arranged at this particular moment in time. As such that energy associated with any memory or expectation that is held is not available to the moment and will continue to manifest exactly as is until we choose not to hold it. In holding the form of what ever that thought represents, that energy associated with that thought is unavailable to be recast into a new thought. As such that energy of a held memory or expectation is something that will continually be diverted from the present into sustaining that memory or expectation hence continually replaying the past as the future.

If we hold to a consistent intention over time, that consistent intention will be reinforced by the energy of the moment and will eventually manifest. From an energy view, there is the energy of the initial thought, there is the energy of the intention to hold the thought, and there is the memory of that past intentions (and subsequent actions) that held the particular thought. All of this energy from these three sources keeps adding to the thought until it manifest. Once it manifest, this energy then hold that though in form until both the thought and the form are released. Hence a dream that is held long enough will manifest in physical form and we are in actuality living in dream time. We are living our dreams.

If we do not hold a constant intention, any particular though can only manifest when the conditions are such the energy carried in the thought is sufficient to be seen above all the other thought energy present. It is not unlike high tide. A rock my be present under the water, but until the tide goes out, the rock will not be seen. So to with thought that are held but not continually intended or does not have energy consciously directed toward it. There is an analogous sea of thought energy that ebbs and flow and until the energy flows out, the thoughts that are held with energy below the level of the ebbing and flowing thought sea will not manifest.

If we continually change our mind we are continually negating the thought and intention we have just set so it will never manifest since we keep diverting our energy away from the task at hand. Similarly, the more tasks, thought or intentions that we hold, less and less energy is available to put into any task in any one moment. It is why all the traditions talk about simplifying life - so there is less and less held in form by the limited consciousness we have awaken so we can effectively use what we have awakened. Additionally, it is why so many spiritual traditions talk about awakening our awareness and consciousness so that one has more energy in which to create.

In each instant the entire energy of the universe is available to flow through an individual. However, only an amount of that energy, an amount in proportion to our awaken consciousness, can be acted upon. There rest of the energy is directed by the nonconscious mind into the current form of the universe. We each are that God within and we each channel the entire energy of the Universe. We already are that energy and consciousness. However, we have awakened to only a very small portion of it and the portion we have awakened is equal to our awaken consciousness and awareness. We are the channel for that light and for that energy. We are free to choose to direct it in any fashion we choose. However, we can affect only that in proportion to the amount we have awakened within ourselves.

The paradox is that each unit of energy consciousness is unique unto itself and a unique filter. There are an infinite number of filters or views form which to experience reality but yet they each are all the same energy consciousness so that each view, each filter, each unit is also capable of encompassing all of creation. It is a paradox. Logic will never make it clear to us. Logic will however, force us to this realization. We are one of theses units of energy consciousness. We can not ever not be for if we go out of existence we would "leave a hole" in existence and that cannot be. It is like trying to take a point out of a line out of an infinite line of points. Although we take one point out, and we still have an infinite number of point, we both broke the like and have less than a complete set of infinite points.

The amount of energy each of these units appear to be controlling is in proportion to their awaken consciousness. The more we awaken, the more we appear we are capable of controlling, however, in reality we are already controlling all of it. We just don’t realize it or know it. All belief, all thought is jointly held as is all creation. It is only the particular way we choose to use our filter that allows the universe to be viewed as it is seen by any one particular person or this one unique view of this unit of this consciousness. All thoughts are held in common. Those thoughts that are chosen to be viewed the same will be seen manifesting collectively or as part of the collective’s "every day reality." The reality that we all see and agree upon - at least agreed upon by those who are seeing that reality and holding the belief. For example, we who experience the physical plane of earth all hold the view that the sun rises every day and consequently that is what we see.

But very few hold the view Christ is alive in physical form today so we don’t see him. Yet most who claim to believe in Him all say that He is perfectly capable of manifesting in physical from any time He wants similar to as He us reported to have done after His Crucifixion. But if we did allow Christ to do that, then we would have to face our own limited thinking about how the universe works. We would have to believe that we could do that too because we would be seeing with our own eyes that Christ was born as man and become God incarnate - which we all are. So rather that face our own limited thinking and realizing we could do what Christ did, we choose to believe that we cannot see Christ, or any other saint for that matter, routinely manifesting in physical form. To do so would destroy our reality as we currently know it. We all know what we do to people who choose to see Christ or the other saints manifesting in the physical. To believe and experience other than what we are currently experiencing would destroy the current reality. Since we are here to experience this particular reality, we don’t allow ourselves to destroy it. Additionally, anyone attempting to do so with the approval of the collective in some fashion are destroyed in some fashion. However, we do allow our beliefs to evolve. Otherwise, we could become bored with always experiencing the exact same reality.

All reality, each point of consciousness, can choose to view reality from one of two views. It can view itself separated as a separated self or ego. This ego or separated self is who it thinks it is, and that the world is all that is external to this self of not of this self. The alternative view that each point of consciousness can choose is to view itself as one with all things. It and the world external to it are one. In this case, this self can be seen as just a specific set of filters that is defined as the ego and from which this unit of consciousness views reality realizing it can change the filters. However, if I, as consciousness do change the filters, I am no longer that person, filter or view that changed the filter. I am different from that which I was. The I of the ego is constantly changing as we experience reality and changing beliefs. The only think constant is that our unit of energy consciousness views reality through a filter. The filter is the ego but this filter changes every moment. We are enculturated to believe who we think we are live as who we are told we are. When we consciously choose to change the filters thought which we view life, and consciously choose and accept the responsibility to live who we choose to be, we have in fact become something new. We become a new creation of our choice, a conscious choice to co -create reality.

The key concepts to keep in mind are:

  • Get and maintain clarity of intent
  • Become aware of the focus of our attention and awareness and focused on what we desire to create.
  • Hold an unwavering faith that we become what we think about.
  • Trust - be like that gardener trusting that what we plant will grow like a seed.
  • In it time, when the season is correct, it will grow. There are time sensitive cycles just like the seasons.
  • Holding the thought through clear intention and constant focus allows us to become that thought - to manifest that dream and hence live in dream time.
  • The greater the awareness the greater the thought and the more possibilities that exist.

The implication of all of this is that the closer we are in any one facet of our life to living in the moment, the faster we will see our reality change to what it is we are thinking or choosing to think relative to that facet. The choice is ours. It always has been our choice. We only need to wake up to that fact.
